Game Changer for Skateboarders and Fitness Enthusiasts Alike
I am particularly impressed with this board as it serves as a workout tool, engaging both your core and lower body. It's exceptionally beneficial for those keen on improving their snow transitions. Not only is it useful, but it's also enjoyable to spend a few minutes on it, even trying to perform squats. The product is exactly as it's described in the advertisement. I appreciate its hand-crafted nature, embodying the passion of the startup company that created this Whirly Board. This board offers an unexpected level of utility for practicing skateboarding beyond the immediately obvious options. While it might not be as effective for manuals as a real skateboard, it provides excellent dynamic balance practice for body varials without the board ends touching the ground. My partner, who's an avid skateboarder, now uses it daily while watching skateboarding videos. I found that it makes the task of standing and working on spreadsheets genuinely fun. It seems to help manage my ADHD symptoms as well. When my wrists are resting on the edge, it's super easy to keep my balance, spin from side to side, or bounce around if I'm listening to music. It's a refreshing change from the usual, mundane balance boards. It has won over my 13-year-olds, and I even spotted the cat giving it a go. However, while the construction quality appears to be good, the difficulty level is quite high. It's challenging to maintain steady balance without holding onto a chair or resting on the side support balls.

It's great - Notes about using with a stand up desk.
It's great fun and a really good way to awaken your calves and feet. I got the cork grip and am happy with that - im more stable barefoot and feel it more in my feet. Pro tip - use it for push ups. Great core workout after balancing for 5 minutes, go straight into push ups/planks. Because of the balls(?) on the end you can't pinch your fingers so stabilizing is difficult but safe. Great core workout. I cannot use this while working at a standing desk, the motion is just to variable. That variability is what's so great about it, but you're Rodney Mullen if you can type while on the board. It's fine for calls, going over email or taking a quick break to clear your head. Actually, it's wonderful as a quick break - you have to focus on balance and nothing else which does really get you out of your head. Don't hesitate. It looks like a blast, that's why you're here but trust me it's more fun than you think. Fwiw i spent a lot of time on a board as a kid but that was 35 years ago and it didn't take long to get my legs back.

Great product!
When using my standing desk normally, I would start to feel fatigued and end up leaning on my desk, which led to poor posture. The Whirlyboard has made it much easier for me to stand comfortably for a couple of hours at a time. It keeps your legs and feet active, so you do not fatigue as quickly as you would when standing completely still, which sounds a little odd, but it really works. I also had no issues typing while using it. Iโm a software developer, so I type a lot, and I did not notice any negative impact. 10/10 โ I would definitely recommend it if you primarily work at a desk.

Easy way to add movement to a sedentary day
I've been searching for a while to find something I can use while I am standing behind my desk. I have a small pedal machine for when I sit, but I stand more than anything. I had never though about a balance board and happened upon this by chance. I'm so glad I got it. It takes a minute to get used to it, but once you do, it's a game changer. I'll rock, stretch my calves, balance, and I can even turn it over to rub my foot over the side balls for relief from plantar fasciitis. A padded mat underneath is a must. The center ball is plastic so it will slip on hard floors. I know this won't cause me to become the epitome of health on it's own, however it does certainly help keep me from sitting still at my desk snacking all day. Start slow though. I stood on it for several hours the first day. The next day I could feel a tightness in my legs and my core so if you're not already used to standing, shorter increments to build upon are the way to go.

Good for my posture
An unexpected benefit is it somewhat forces me to stand up straight - it's much easier to balance when you're standing on it with good posture. (If you're finding it hard to stay balanced, check your center of gravity and stand up straight, it helps.) I use it with my standing desk, and as of day one I clearly noticed I had more energy at the end of the day, and much less tension/stress in my back, shoulders, and neck. I only stand on it for maybe 20 mins at a time, as standing still to keep balance starts to hurt your feet after a while. But doing so trains me to stand and sit straight the rest of the day too. Slightly less "fun" than I had expected, since I have to stand still in order to work and stay balanced - but still adds a nice bit of novelty to my workstation. High quality product and happy to support a small business, highly recommend.

Solid for standing desk.
Used purely for balance and stretching at my standing desk and I like it. Glad I didnโt go with the skateboard tape version because I imagine the cork has a little more cushion. The whirly board seems more fun to me than other standing desk mats.

Enjoying Using This with My Standing Desk
This was a gift I placed on my 'list' as a way to give my fidgety legs something to do on conference calls at my standing desk. I assumed I'd use it a few times and then get bored of it. Instead, it's become my default when I'm standing. The board is really well-made. It's balanced when you're not on it. Seems indestructible. Hasn't damaged my wood floor (yet) either! Points! A few notes: 1. It's hard at first. I'm not very good on a skateboard, and this just reminded me of that failing of mine. It is MUCH easier with (a) practice and (b) having your desk with you to steady yourself while you find your balance. I can go several minutes in balance now without grabbing my desk after only a few weeks. 2. I use it on hard floor (despite the instructions saying to use it on a carpet.). I haven't really found it any harder or easier than on a rug. 3. When starting, keep your legs fairly close together and extend your arms for balance. Much easier than trying to start in a 'skating stance.' 4. I still don't trust myself to use it on client video calls, but I've done some internal video calls on it. I probably look a bit silly (rocking side to side a bit), but I'm getting better at keeping my upper body still. Overall, this has been a pretty rewarding purchase. I can't say it's improving my core/posture, but it's interesting (in a good way) and I'm enjoying it.

Very cool
I like it better than my rev balance. In my opinion it works on your balance better. You can also feel it in your abs if you do it long enough. The board is also great quality.
