Worked well.
Served the purpose. Was traveling when stitches needed removing. We removed ourselves no problems. These are made for one time use so of course don’t expect commercial grade quality.

Saved a trip to doc
I had five stitches in my ankle and also a broken foot and shoulder I ordered this bc I dreaded the idea of going to have a doc while I could not safely move around without crazy pain, much less waiting in a waiting room! Ordered, was exactly what I expected. Took one minute to take sutures out (I had paid attention to how the doc had put them in). The tweezers are metal so they worked ok. The snips are blunt but you should be able to safely get the suture lifted up to snip without cutting yourself. Saves time and money if you don’t have complications with your sutures.

First time stitches
Everything worked like it should. Never taken stitches out, but I was able to do it safely with this kit. Very good price too!

sterile, affordable
I appreciate this sterile kit that's affordable. I wish they would send it in a small box instead of a brown paper bag.

DO NOT BUY!!!!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this suture removal kit deserves one. The scissors barely cut anything — they felt dull right out of the package. The tweezers were even worse: thick, imprecise, and completely useless for grabbing sutures. I couldn’t remove one stitch with this kit. I actually had to go to CVS and buy one of those eyebrow tweezer/scissor sets just to finish the job. Those were smaller, sharper, and worked instantly with zero issues. That alone tells you everything you need to know about the quality of this kit. Do yourself a favor and skip this product. As soon as you open the box, you’ll realize you’ve made a mistake. Absolutely not worth the money

Would not buy again
Got what I paid for. Was able to remove stitches but tweezers were flimsy and needed to be pointed. Not much of a hook on scissors

Did the Job
Wife had stitches that had to be removed before a certain time. Getting any kind of health care in Tucson can be a problem as is transportation for us since I was an army medic years ago I decided to take them out myself. These were not wire so I ordered th removal kit which was deemed sterile but I did supply my own alcohol and gauze. Kit arrived promptly from Amazon and a good thing too since the stitches had become difficult since the time frames indicated I didn't want to remove them myself but it was obvious in was necessary because of the appointment that I could get to have it done by a medical professional. The kit worked fine for the type of stitch and I saved it for unwanted but possible future use. There is a kit for wire but a trickier job and there is a technique for proper removal of sutures. It was timely for me to do it, really inexpensive, and the scissors and forceps did the job but for professional practice and repeated use there are finer instruments that are more expensive and available.
