Assenmacher Specialty Tools 6300 12 Point Socket/Bit Set for Volkswagen/Porsche - 7 Piece

This a great product. The case has formed foam with cut out for each socket. I ordered this set specifically for the strut spreader tool which worked amazing. The other XZN (triple square bits) were a nice bonus. If you wish to do repairs on your VW, Audi, Porsche ect this set will cover ~80% of the specialty sockets you need.This set worked perfect for replacing the suspension on my 2006 Jetta TDI

Don't sit there thinking and wondering if you should get this one or get a cheaper set from someone else. Don't waste your money on cheap junk tools. Assenmacher is top quality, and their tools not only FIT, but last and last as well. Full kit in a nice plastic case so you're not digging in your socket drawer for the right bit. If Assenmacher is one of the choices that I can make, then it will be my first choice.

After pricing out a set of these from my Snap on rep, I thought I would give them a try. I bought them for a timing belt job on a 2.0T FSI engine on a Audi A4. I am very impressed! They worked great and I never questioned the quality after removing the first screw. You can tell a quality tool when pick it up and these are fantastic.

Had to buy for my new job was recommended by one of my co-workers, so just starter using & not to bad.

I had bad luck with specialty tools lately.These have been the best. I had some really old splines on my 944 some had damaged heads. I was able to beat these into the damaged bolts and pull out the splines with little to no damage to the tool itself. (which I wouldn't recommend doing unless you had no alternative)

A few of the bits in my set were off-center, with bits inserted into the sockets a little crooked. Granted, when it's on a wrench, it's not something that would be significant, but I was disappointed. First thought that came to mind was whether this was made in China, but the packaging (or any of the bits) does not state origin of manufacture. I'm willing to believe that I got a bad batch, but you should carefully examine your bits if you do order it. I'm returning mine and ordering ones from VIM and see if the quality is any better.

Had to do a break job on a friends Audi. I didn't have this set and was missing the big triple squares this kit provides. Great quality parts to go along side my Snap-On tools.

Well made and worth the money. Gets the job done. It will pretty much fit any location or need you might have on a VW or Audi vehicle.

Must have for VAG cars. Tools are very quality.

The tools seem of reasonable quality, especially for the price. I have only used one tool out of the set so far. It fit the bolt well and did not twist or torque out of position. The rest of the selection will be helpful I am sure in keeping my Audi on the road.
