Do the wheels turn or are they fixed into position ?

There is no steering mechanism. I saw a complete robot kit on Amazon with a platform that looks the same, so I assume you can turn it by rotating the wheels faster on one side than the other. Presumably you can make it rotate in place by running one side forward and the other back: like a tank, but with less damage to the carpet.
