Excellent product.
After searching and searching for a lap desk I decided on this one. It is about 5 inches thick. At first the lid was a little tight but now it slides easily. I keep my headphones in the compartment, some writing needs, glasses cleaning cloth. It is really sweet and I am using it all the time. I love the little handle on one side of it. My Lenovo Twist, and my iPad fit on it beautifully. The lap desk has a little ridge htat keeps my devices from sliding into my lap even if I am holding the lap desk at an angle. I made another good choice when I bought this product. I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon and am a Prime member but I do not buy anything without reading other people reviews. I can honestly say that having feedback from other people has been fabulous and I have been able to purchase many really great products.

Poor Quality, Especially for the Price
The quality of this lap desk is terrible. The fabric is stiff and scratchy (sort of like a lightweight, cheap, canvas fabric), the paint is rubbing off the desk portion, there is a chip in one corner and there is visible glue where the desk meets the cushion. I was hoping this would be a good alternative to the Pottery Barn Teen lap desk, but clearly, you pay for what you get (though honestly, this isn't exactly a bargain). To top it off, they sent the wrong color.....I asked for all black and received pink and zebra stripe which doesn't quite work for my son. I am returning this for credit and cancelled the second one I had on order for my daughter.

Almost perfect
I was expecting everything except that the filling would blow out from around the handles every time I move it. That's the only thing I do not like about it. Everything else is just what I needed.

I was really disappointed when I received this item because it looked used, it was damaged and it looks like someone used a black sharpie marker to cover a scratch...as far as the functionality it is alright. I was happier with my old one but do not want to go through the hassle of returning or exchanging this one

Ordered the black with polka dots. Great quality and such a useful item. So comfortable to work on and the storage space fits all my work materials. Really recommend this!!
