I installed this UV Sterilizer as a 3rd section of the sump on my 180 gallon mixed reef. It’s done amazing to clear the water up and had a small drip at the start but seems to have been salt creeped shut. The small size allows it to be hidden away easily and it’s compact so even sitting out it looks acceptable. Good bang for your buck, worth it if you have a spare pump laying around not doing some work.

This was my initial impression. Skip down a bit: I bought this model after comparing to a couple other models that cost two to three times as much. Based on the size and diameters of the tubing, the dwell time should be equivalent to those more expensive devices, and they use the same wattage of bulb, so I expect about the same performance. It's hard to say if it's actually killing germs in my tank, because I already had a UV sterilizer and my tank is quite healthy, as it was before. That was February 18th, 2022. This is November 26th, 2022. 9 months. Now for the real review: Since February, I installed the UV sterilizer and ran it for a couple of months until the bulb died. No problem, I bought four. When I open the thing, all of the little plastic pieces inside that hold the bulb in place and away from the glass wall crumbled in my hands. The plastic is not UV resistant!!! This is a UV light. The outer black casing is also thinning, I expect it's not UV resistant either, except for the small protection it gets by being opaque. Now for the kill. Upon installing a new bulb, I discovered that the ballast is no longer functioning. I tried multiple bulbs which I know are unused. It won't even start the bulb!

for what ever reason the hook ups are an ode size but they send different sizes so I was able to hook it up, almost the next day the pond was very much better . able to see the fish again, would buy again

This UV sterilizer greatly helped clear the algae from my turtle tank. My 40 gallon tank is sitting outside in direct sunlight most of the day. Without the UV sterilizer, I could do a nearly complete water change, and within two days, the water would go from clear, to a color so green it could make Shrek swoon! I put in the sterilizer and it really helps! the water will still eventually turn green, but it now takes a couple weeks, and that's to be expected in full sunlight. My only issue with the product is the installation. The instructions given are for several significantly different models, and even then, the instructions are not at all clear. If you know how to assemble the thing and set it up, great. If you don't, good luck.

There is not a way to see if the light is on when it is working, no peek hole,clear that indicates the light is on and working.

It arrived promptly. To say if the product is good or not is impossible at this time. It would be better if review questions would come a few months later after the product has been used by the purchaser. So all I can say now is it looks good and has a piece of glass to block the second output port if you only want to use the one.

My 2800 gallon pond started clearing up the day after I install the unit.

It’s not working and make water brownish and yellow, and increasing Water phosphorus Too much. Please look at the pic, the water colour turn to yellow because increasing phosphorus.
