I heard that 300 bloom gelatin gives a stronger set for jello. I like a less-jiggly jello, and wanted more flavor options than diet lime, which is the only one currently available in my local grocery store.How do I make the jello? I take a standard Ziplock plastic screw top container and fill it about 1/2-way with a drink flavoring (like Jordan's Skinny Syrups cherry, christmas cookie, birthday cake) or Da Vinci's diet banana, gingerbread, etc.) Then I add 1 TBSP of 300 bloom gelatin and let it sit for a minute or two. Stick it in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes in a 100W microwave oven and take it out after 30 sec to a minute. Stir and add 1/4 of the container of water or less, or diet carbonated water or ginger ale.1 TBSP= 35 calories or so. This actually makes a much larger serving than the boxed stuff, so I usually eat half when I feel hungry but need to stay on my diet.
