Awesome product. Not very pretty to talk about, but diarrhea caused by antibiotics is a real hazard for many reasons. I had to be on a month of antibiotics and it was hell when I left the hospital being pumped full of 7 different kinds of antibiotics in 3 days. I was already having slight diarrhea. Then I was home for 30 days worth of a big gun antibiotic. After only a day or two on FloraStor, my stools were no longer runny. I can't image what I'd be facing after 30 days of antibiotics. So this was a life saver. After a couple more days, my stools were better than ever. I am a believer now in probiotics. Not sure this is the one I'll be using now that I'm off of my course of antibiotics as this has only a single strain in it, but I'm continuing it until my bottle is empty. My challenge is to restore my gut flora to a healthy state, so lots of green veggies, lots of fiber, other commercial probiotics, yogurt, fermented veggies, and more.

My 5-yr-old daughter had been having stomach problems for about 1 month. At first, we thought it was gas. Then, we were told it was acid reflux or constipation. We tried the antacid and laxative that the pediatrician gave us, but our poor daughter was still suffering. It got to the point where she didn't want to go to school, she would only eat half her meals because her stomach would hurt and she seemed tired all the time. We were at our wits end trying to figure out the problem. We brought her back to her old pediatrician and he suggested that we try Florastor. FYI for all the parents out there - while the back of the box says to take 2 a day, our pediatrician told us to give our daughter only 1 a day. She's only 5 and very slim for her age though (she's only 37 lbs). Hopefully, this review will help other parents who find themselves in a similar situation.

Back in October 2012, I developed severe diarrhea and abdominal pain, to the point where I was going to the bathroom 10-12 times each day. I did not connect the dots back then but this all started shortly after I was on Penicillin for a tooth infection and Bactrim for acne. I lost 35 pounds and have never been so sick in my life. I did not have insurance and I was working in a call center where we had scheduled bathroom breaks. I had no choice but to quit my job. I assume I had C-Diff because now that I have put it all together, it makes sense. I didn't know about Florastor until I read an article on CNN about probiotics about a woman who was in a similar situation as me. This stuff works! Within a week, I was having formed stools again and I was only going about once or twice per day. I have been on it for about 3 weeks and I cannot even describe the difference. I am eating more fiber, beans, etc and I don't have diarrhea 10 times per day like before. In fact, I have only had diarrhea a few times (most likely due to dairy I ate) and my abdominal pain is 75% better. Even my weight has stabilized. I am still planning on going to a gastroenterologist now that I have insurance to get a formal diagnosis but Florastor has been a life saver. I was beginning to lose all hope and in such despair over how sick and horrible I felt. Florastor has given me hope to never give up. Give Florastor a try! What have you got to lose????

I have been on/off chemotherapy since 2014 so my GI tract is quite literally a train wreck at this point. My stomach was sensitive to the majority of foods in my diet. Not anymore! The specific probiotic in Florastor is extremely effective in managing diarrhea - IBS, travelers, actue, C-diff, etc... I traveled to Europe a week after I finished a round of chemotherapy. Took Florastor for three days leading up to departure, and for the entirety of our trip. I could eat stinky French cheese and escargot with absolutely no stomach issues. My stomach feels invincible while taking Florastor. I want to take Florastor every day for the rest of my life... if only it was a little more affordable. I was paying around $50/50ct box - then I found it on Amazon! At first I was skeptical ordering from Amazon because the price was so low - thinking to myself it must be expired or something.... The two packages I received last week (4/27/2017) had expiration dates of 2019. Boom.
