Living proof Full Thickening Cream, 3.7 Fl Oz

At first, it was really hard to believe that there's actually a product out there that will thicken my hair and actually work. Because of many articles and reviews boasting about how wonderful this product is, I decided to give this a try. I just received this in the last week and I've used it twice. I was really surprised to find that this actually WORKS. I could immediately tell that my hair was thicker. My hair stood up more after blow drying rather than lay flat on my head. It also felt as if I had more hair when I combed through my hair with my fingers. It seemed to have a lot more texture. Not only does this work, it also smells REALLLLY good. The cream resembles that of conditioner. I use merely a dime sized amount and work from roots to ends. Comb through and blow dry. Super easy and quick. I have fine, thin hair, so anything that has even the slightest effect will be apparent. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a boost for their hair. This is my newest favorite to my after-shower routine.

I have very fine hair, and very little of it. Here I am a "Leo" and I have a pathetic mane of hair. I've tried several brands of volumizing hair products to fluff up my hair and make it look like I have more hair than I really do. If I could I'd wave my magic wand and, viola!, have a fantastic thick head of hair. Alas, I've misplace my wand! However, Living Proof's Thickening Cream is the next best thing! I wear my hair short and after towel drying my hair, I work a dime's worth into my fingertips and run it through the ends of my hair in the morning or at night. If I used it a night, misting my hair allows me to lift up the hair from the roots; and my very fine hair that's there dries very quickly. After it dries, I brush my hair with my head while I'm bent over and my hair looks gloriously thicker and fuller. After smoothing out a few places, I add hairspray, and Viola! A miracle made possible by the thickening cream makes my hair looks the very best it can! Need I say that I really love this stuff! A 3.7 ounce bottle usually last me for 6 months or more, so depending on your hair length, a little bit goes a LONG way.

I would never have considered using this except that it came with the Living Proof 5 product sample size (when it was an add-on). I'm 59 and have always had fine, thin, flat and poker straight hair. And believe me when I say that I have tried every product on the market. With the exception of one other brand that I think I reviewed (Rene de Furer) that addresses the scalp and is not cheap, this is the only product I can put in my hair after washing and not have it weigh my hair down. I rarely even condition my hair-it's so fine that it doesn't really need to be-because doing so after shampooing still left enough residue (despite thorough rinsing). When I do condition, I do it before shampooing. I think those who have hair like mine know what I'm talking about when I say every product weighs my hair down. Before I bought the kit on here, a salewoman at a major department store tried to see me this but I was still hesitant. She did say one thing-use it so sparingly that you might not go through a bottle in a year. So I do (use it sparingly)-less than a pearl and I first rub that small amount through my fingers and then apply to my hair using what product is left on my coated fingers. And it works. I think it's primarily because of how little I use. If you've tried it and feel it weighed your hair down (I read all the one star reviews) and still have the bottle, please try it again using 1/4 of what you initially used. I'm pleased that it now comes in a smaller size. The women at Nordstrom was right. I didn't get through the full-size bottle in 2 years!

I have shoulder-length, baby-fine hair that is starting to thin. This product does for me what it promised - it adds a little bit of body and gives the appearance of better texture and fullness - not as much as I was hoping for, but an improvement. While it doesn't work miracles, it does work. It makes a slight difference that I can see and feel. If I put the recommended amount (dime-sized) it seems almost to weigh my hair down, so I go with a little less and it seems to be just right. A little goes a long way. I would recommend this product, and I do plan to purchase again.

I don’t normally write reviews- but this product has changed my life! My hair is v fine- it doesn’t hold curl at all. I had all but resigned to having bad hair. On a whim I tried this bc I read Jen Aniston used it. First time use- I did not style my hair at all- showered applied and went to sleep- I woke up and instantly noticed- I had good hair!! I didn’t do anything and it felt thicker and looked like I had styled it. I styled it w second use and it is holding!!! It seems to thicken and make the hair tacky giving volume and holding curl. Miraculous!!🙌 so glad I found this product!

Update January 2016 - A couple months ago, since my initial review of this product, I cut my hair into a short, shaggy, pixie cut. Now I like using this product so much more because I feel it helps add texture to my hair. The messier it is, the better it looks and this product has helped with that - I use it when the weather is especially cold and dry (helps with static) or especially humid (provides texture and helps prevent flatness). However, I still think this is one I would not buy again - too expensive when I still love my BedHead Small Talk and Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Hair Cream. I had such high hopes for this product - read about it on one of my favorite blogs. I'm always looking for something to oomph up my (in my mind) thinning hair. The directions say to use a pea sized amount and distribute it through your hair, from near the roots through the ends, and then blow dry. Not verbatim what they say, but basically. So I'm thinking "YES!! All kinds of texture and volume all throughout my hair!!" I was careful to use a small amount, I'd read that a little goes a long way. There was definitely texture. And tangles. Oh, the tangles. Once applied I could hardly pull my round brush through my hair to dry it. And after it was dry, I could barely pull my pick though to finish styling. I could feel the product all over my hair - and forget about using any further product to style. If I'd added my heat protecting spray, it would have made everything stick to the curling iron. I realize everyone's hair is different, and others may have great results with this product. I just think it's okay. My hair is slightly longer than chin length, layered, medium texture (not really fine but far from coarse) and I have just enough natural curl to result in frizz. My stance that I have thinning hair - well, when I was a teenager it was so thick we had to thin it out to avoid headaches. Now I'm in my 30s and missing the need to thin it out. Anyway, this morning I tried using an even teensier amount, and just applying it to my roots then running BioSilk Therapy Serum through my hair from mid-shaft to the ends. Found that made a world of difference. It's still just ok for me, and I much prefer my BedHead Small TalkThickifier for overall volume increasing purposes. But at least now I've figured out a way to use the product and make it work.

Last year it looked like I was balding... my hair was so thin, greasy, and straggly--I was embarrassed beyond belief. At 21, healthy, great diet, I couldn't figure out why I had such unhealthy looking hair. I USED to go and buy whatever was cheap or on sale at the drugstore. Never paid any attention to shampoo/conditioner or any other products for that matter, because I thought it was all BS. I never thought they could ACTUALLY change your hair this much. Needless to say, when I first bought this thickening cream, the living proof full shampoo & conditioner (as was recommended to me by a friend), I was upset because I didn't see a change at all in that first month. I spent 500% more than I usually do on hair care products and nothing changed... until... after about 6 weeks. One day I was doing my hair and I realized that my ponytail was THICK. My hair looked... healthy! I recommend this to anyone who is sceptical, balding, and needs something that really works. It took awhile for it to kick in, but it did! I just bought my second set of the shampoo & conditioner and thickening cream... I LOVE THIS. It's a miracle and I am so so so grateful I found this company... Having unhealthy hair is the worst.

THIS IS A MIRACLE!!!! So I have a combination of very fine hair, and a lot of it. So styling is an absolute nightmare - forget curling or even braiding my hair, my options are very limited. I'd tried some other products, but they didn't make a significant difference. I read the reviews of this product, and so I thought it would be worth trying. Boy, were the other reviewers right! This cream significantly changed my hair, it immediately caused my hair to be much thicker, and so much easier to style. And I think that the bottle will last for a very long amount of time, as it really does only take a very small amount of product. So in terms of value for money, this is a great deal. It honestly makes me feel like I've just emerged from the salon, which with hair like mine is not common without this product! Massive bang for the buck! For me, the results have remained several days in. I haven't washed my hair in 4 days, and I can still tell the difference.

This product smells good....but it did nothing to thicken my hair. Just made it feel even more limp and unstyled. Do not recommend.

I bought this product based on the reviews. It's supposed to make my hair thicker but what I found was that it made my hair limp and oily. It says to apply a dime sized amount. Frankly I have no idea what a dime size actually is, I applied about a 10c piece so there is a chance i applied slightly too much. One positive about this product is that my hair looked better the next day after sleeping on it. I will keep experimenting, but not impressed so far.

I was skeptical but I've used this thickening cream 3 or 4 times now and each time I get the same results - a lot of body and the appearance of thicker hair. I have fine, straight, long hair that tends to just go limp in the dry air during the winter months. I just need a small amount so I'm not sure why some of the other reviewers thought it was expensive. This will last months and because it works for me, it's worth it. The cream itself is thick and has a lovely scent. I hate putting product in my hair, in part because I think it just weighs down fine hair, but when I use the thickening cream I don't use any styling gel and my hair holds until my next wash. It's great!.
