Works great for my feed tube

Quality great, average one year out expiration date. Isosource required for nutrition by Oncologist-delivered within a few days of ordering which made it very convenient.

I lived on this exclusively for 18 months after cancer surgery and needed a feeding tube. Even though I can eat normally now i still keep this in the house in the event i don’t feel like preparing a meal. It really satisfies hunger better than Boost. One of the comments suggested it wasn’t covered by insurance, but mine was after a prescription form the doctor and coordinated through visiting nurses. I also care for my 100 year old mother who drinks at east once daily and really helps with her energy level. Great product.

Had to buy this because my supply company was dragging their feet. Ordered it from Amazon, the formula had a way longer freshness date! Perfect. Great stuff for tube fed loved ones.

The nutritional info on these are terrible, but pulling back the veil a little we see there is at least 3g of completely needless saturated fat from the MCT oil (pure triglycerides), and then the saturated fat from the canola oil, which out of the 11.8g of fat from that comes to about another 1g of saturated fat. If you’re consuming 2,000 calories a day that comes to a max recommended limit of a mere 13g, and less if you consume fewer calories. A single one of these could contain between 30% to 50% of your maximum limit of saturated fat. And it’s only 375 calories. I need to emphasize how pointless the inclusion of MCT oil is here. It offers no benefits whatsoever. It is quite literally JUST saturated fat. This is not needed for calories as there are infinitely better options, and it has NO nutritional benefit. On top of this, research has shown that MCT oil reduces appetite, which is not exactly something people who are struggling to take in calories need. Are people who consume this less deserving of good health? Are people who are sick, or recovering, or living with a disability not valuable enough as human beings to consider NOT loading their arteries up with saturated fats? People are dependent upon this, relying on it to provide them the nutrition they need without doing further harm to their bodies which they, their loved ones, and their healthcare providers are trying very hard to manage and protect. The formulators of this product should be ashamed, and why the total nutritional amounts are not actually listed out should be investigated by authorities, because last I checked this was a federal legal requirement. How are they getting away with this? If you value your health or the health of those you love, strongly consider another option. One from a company that doesn’t think your life is expendable and not worthy of good health.
