We needed inexpensive 512-megabyte flash drives in bulk because we're attaching one to each portfolio that our rising high school senior is in the process of sending, along with her application, to various colleges and universities. It suited our needs perfectly, and although we shopped for them locally in office supply stores and in other markets, no one was able to beat the cost from Amazon. The flash drives (thumb drives) arrived in two days, were packaged very well, and worked as advertised. We didn't have any problems at all. As a matter of fact, tomorrow we're going to order some more. By the way, for our purpose, the fact that these flash drives were flat and smooth on the outside, with no protruding caps, chains, or decorations, worked very well to our advantage. They were easily slipped into a small pocket on one of the portfolio pages, resulting in a nice presentation package.

I've lost count of how many 10-packs of these Enfain 16GB USB flash drives I've purchased in the last few years. But I can say they've proven 100% reliable and the cost per flash drive is negligible. Like a lot of folks, I like to occasionally share digital files with friends or clients. These flash drives have never failed me, and their cost is so low that I don't care if I'm handing off one JPG or dozens, or even edited video files that represent a lot of investment in production and editing time. They are a great choice every time. One of my principle uses has been to supply videos I've produced. It's great to be able to reach in my bag and pull one of these out to hand to an interested person, rather than wondering if they'll actually download what I'm wanting them to see. I've found that a USB flash drive, often on a lanyard, tends to get seen every time. And often, I'm told, it gets viewed multiple times. Pictured below is one way that I often accessorize the flash drive to help avoid it getting lost.

Just like many other reviewers, I got these drives, and about 5 worked fantastically out of the box, 3 worked but with degraded performance, and 2 were just completely miserably slow. You do have to play around with the format options and cluster size on these, but after you find that sweet spot, they're fantastic for the price. 5/5 overall with a 4/5 for ease of use for that reason. The slowest one out of them all was only copying at 4 kb/s originally, wish I had read the very helpful comments here before I threw that one in the trash! Exfat with a 32 kb cluster size worked great on the one that had the 2nd worst performance out of the box. TL:DR - These work great and are more than worth the cost, but you have to play around with the formatting options to get the performance.
