The hands are not sewn to each other, as one might think from the image. Each hand/arm is free to move on its own.

Is Andy's clothes removable for changing to other outfits?

The clothing is not made to be removable on all of the raggedy dolls made by Aurora.

Are these original dolls from the early 1900s or is it a remake?

I believe that they are remakes. I purchased as a gift with the book to celebrate the 100th birthday last year, so I didn't really care that it was a remake. I'm sure an original would be way more expensive!

The hat is just held by a couple tiny stitches, that can be snipped off with scissors if desired. Yes, the rag dolls are flexible so they will "sit".
