Sturdy feeder, holds plenty of seed
Well, here's the thing...We love this feeder, but the birds don't seem to!We have now had it up on our window, maybe 6-7 feet from where plenty of birds congregate and gnosh under a nice tree, but bareky any activity at the feeder. We'be had one very disappointed hummingbird, and two other birds who came close (windowsill) but never went on up to the feeder. (We also had a resident squirrel try to get in it, but he couldn't keep a grip on the buiding side to get in it.)It will be three weeks tomorrow that we've had it up. We have a nice seed mix for area birds. It has taken two pretty harsh storms and done fine. (Well, a huge thunder made it rattle against our window and scared ME a little!) We've dumped and cleaned it twice, made a seed "path" from the tree to the feeder, but still no birdies are enjoying the buffet. The feeder itself is very sturdy, a little heavy and nicely designed. When I saw the suction cups, I really didn't think it would hold the feeder well, especially with seeds in it. But, we followed the cleaning directions, dampened the suction cups, and have had no problems, even in the July heat. So, we'll just keep on putting out fresh seed and hope someone gets brave enough to try it out.

Great feeder, super quality, birds are loving it!
This is a nice, heavy duty acrylic bird feeder! I LOVE the size of it, love the fact that there are three sturdy suction cups to adhere to the window, and love the fact that I can just lift the feeder off the hooks to wash it, or refill it. Granted, you don't *have* to take it off the hooks ~ you can just take a cup, or something similar, and put the seed in that way. The suction cups appear to be extremely strong and of good quality. You can easily purchase replacement cups should you find it necessary. At times, and after much use, I've had to replace suction cups of other feeders; to me, this is to be expected considering all the elements they are exposed to. Another bonus, although I'm not sure how long it will last (due to the birds' sharp little feet, and the elements), is the rubber piece that fits snugly on the bottom edge (as seen in the picture) of the feeder. It's flexible, not rigid, and I suppose that if and when it ever deteriorates, you can get some sort of flexible rubber material/tubing and just slip it on in place of it.The only downfall that I can see, is that there aren't any holes in the bottom of the feeder, that would allow any water to drain out. It is covered on the top, but here in New England, we get wind driven rain and snow and there is no doubt that some will enter into the feeder. I have other feeders that this happens to ~ even with the holes ~ but it does tend to help. This is not enough of a downfall to rate this feeder anything less than five stars! As far as the birds coming to the feeder ~ no problem at my house! I have several feeders, scattered all around my yard/house/on my windows. I'm sure this is one of the main reasons that withing a couple of days, they were eating from this one. People have to be patient. Especially if this is the first feeder they are hanging up. Tranquil Outdoors has given lots of great suggestions (in the comment section in some of the reviews) about how to attract the birds. I feed only black oil sunflower seed and thistle in my feeders as that is what my birds tend to enjoy the most.I would certainly recommend this feeder to anyone! I like it so much, I ordered my mother in law one for Christmas!

Love it...
8 Month Update: I have really enjoyed these feeders. They're inexpensive, but durable, safe, convenient, and have multiple mounting options. My favorite part is the open design. Yes, it's a bird and squirrel buffet at my expense, but I don't like the enclosed, silo or tube feeders. Smaller birds get stuck inside and perch spaces are small and limited. The bigger birds like my mourning doves have a hard time with those. With these large, open feeders, neighborhood birds of all sizes can stand on top or on the side with ease. I have my feeders mounted in different places, but both are near our tree and stay shaded most of the day. The drain holes have worked wonderfully with all the rain we've had here in North Texas this past month. The plastic has held up well. It's not foggy or scratched up. There are no cracks and no visible damage. The only "problem" I've encountered is with the small removable (for cleaning) rubber perch strip. The squirrels have knocked them off a few times. It'd be nice if there were some small tabs at the ends to keep it more secure. But even this isn't that big of a deal.I had so many birds, I was filling the 1 feeder twice a day. I bought the 2nd feeder and mounted it across the yard. I was refilling both of them every morning this summer. If birds are ignoring your feeder, look online for tips on proper placement, ways to make your feeder more noticeable, and the best seed to use for your area.----------Bought this bird feeder Feb 2017. Came back and got a 2nd one. I have both mounted to my wood fence. The birds love it. The feeders are easy to put up, keep clean and fill. Smaller seeds fall through the drain holes and feed the birds pecking around on the ground.
