I have extremely dry, rough hands, and my constant handwashing (a pandemic precaution) hasn't helped matters. I ordered this SilcSkin Hand & Body Treatment in the hope that it would improve the condition of my hands, as the manufacturer claims it "hydrates the skin and improves the collagen structure." My hands really do feel smooth and soothed after applying this treatment; however, each time I wash my hands, they end up feeling parched and papery again -- so the effects of this cream don't seem to last very long unless you reapply every time you clean your hands. That said, I can confirm that this treatment works really well on the dry skin of my elbows. They feel just as soft and smooth at the end of the day as they do after I apply the cream. It seems to me that this SilcSkin Hand & Body Treatment works best when you apply to shower-damp skin; it locks in moisture, and as long as you're not continuously washing wherever you've applied the cream, the silky-smooth effects will last. It would probably do a more effective job on my hands if I didn't wash them as frequently or if I reapplied the cream every single time I wash them; but I'm a little disappointed that the cream doesn't penetrate deeper to withstand regular and thorough handwashing. Overall, while this SilcSkin Hand Treatment may not be the miracle-worker I was hoping for, I'm happy with the difference it has made to my elbows, and I'm trying to be more diligent about reapplying it to my hands multiple times throughout the day. A couple of other things I love about this treatment: it's made here in the USA, and it's not tested on animals. It's also a nice change from heavily perfumed hand creams, as there isn't much of a scent to this at all. I'll update my review if I notice more significant improvements to my hands with continued use; but for now, I'm netting out with a solid 4 stars.

I was really hopeful when I bought this. I love using lotion with silicone; it hydrates perfectly and just melts into the skin. This lotion has “medical grade” silicone, and it literally smells like nail polish remover when you use it. The smell is a good enough reason not to buy, especially for the price. Trust me, find a normal lotion that has silicone. You’ll be happy you did👍🏼

Silc Skin Hand Treatment states that it is Made of Medical Grade Silicone that Targets Crepey Skin and Wrinkles on Hands, Arms, Elbows, Knees, Legs, that it is Made in USA. I received the 4 ounce size squeeze tube, as in photos. I will gripe about the lack of natural ingredients and the almost misleading statement, "made of medical grade silicone", but the fact of the matter is, it WORKS! It does exactly what it says it will do, smooth your crepey, aging skin and make it look and feel like you have 20-something, unwrinkled skin. It's a bit of a miracle. If this is worth whatever these chemical ingredients are putting into your body, then go for it. I am on the fence. I do not like chemicals, especially chemicals that I have never heard of and that are not easy to understand in terms of every effect they may have on the body chemistry. So, either I let my leeriness get the better of me while I research the ingredients when I have time and to my satisfaction or I just use it and enjoy the effects. I suppose that Dimethicone ingredients translate to being Medical Grade Silicone. I am starting with this product in mid-summer. I use day and night. I find that it is lightweight and I do not feel any residue on my skin, even though in summer I always feel residue from products used on skin. Pretty neat trick~ I would recommend to use for day to seal and protect the skin. At night, you may want something natural that lets the skin breathe. But I do not know what I am talking about because, although I suspect because there are chemicals in this product that it does not let the skin breathe, it is good for sealing the skin and allowing the moisture to come up to the surface of the cuticle, thus, moisturizing the skin. This may be why it sates "removes wrinkles while you sleep". A cheap, Old Hollywood secret version of this was to spread Petroleum jelly over the skin for this effect. Of course, as soon as you stop using it, your skin is back to its normal tricks so, no, this is not a once and done. If your life depends upon you somehow having as little wrinkles as possible, this product and perhaps a try of the entire product line, is the investment for you. Of course, if you are that dedicated, you are probably seeing a dermatologist plastic surgeon. That would be the ultimate authority on what these ingredients do. I find these ingredients in a lot of products but this formula is pretty unique in what it does. The squeeze bottle is my favorite way to apply skin care products. I wish they could make the product and packaging more sustainably. An upgrade for this product would be a little less sensationalism and a little more transparency and being forthcoming about where ingredients are sourced and replacing the packaging with more sustainable packaging. Works phenomenally though. Could become an expensive habit if you can afford it. There is no scent or sensitivity detected.

Wouldn’t pay the money for this product

As a hand cream, this product is excellent. It's slips over your hands and provides what feels like a protective barrier, but perhaps that's just psychological given that this is a silicone based hand treatment. Ever since turning 50, every time I look down at my hands they seem to have aged more from the day before. While using it, this product seems to smooth them out.

I am in my late 40's with dry, sensitive skin. My hands are starting to show my age more than my face . . . so I wanted to try a protective hand moisturizer. This arrived boxed, in a typical tube packaging that had a foil seal under the cap. I expected it to be a clear greasy product similar to other silicone based lotions I have tried. It is not. This is a thick gel feeling . . . unique and strange. It feels cooling when applied and takes a bit of rubbing to get it to soak in. Once it does, my hands to feel moisturized but also feel a bit like there is a layer of wax on top. It's a very strange feel . . . it doesn't have the slip factor of most silicone based lotions. This does not appear to have any added fragrances, it smells like you would expect the natural ingredients to smell, and personally I prefer that. I had no reactions from my sensitive skin -- no redness, itching or peeling. Made in the USA.

I am in my 40's and having been take great care of my facial skin by staying out of the sun, using spf, and doing skincare treatments on my face. My hands however tell a different story. They look much older than my years. Yea, I've put creams and whatnot on them but I guess it didn't help much. This silicone cream truly makes them look at least 10 years younger! Yes, it's temporary but last at least a good day! I don't believe there are any ingredients in this that can reverse aging but I'm willing to take the temporary results it delivers! It has no discernable smell and doesn't feel greasy.
