A very capable phone with excellent features. Totally delivers on its promises.
I need a new phone to replace my LG V20. I loved my V20, but the battery life was compromised and I was running low on memory. The LG G8 ThinQ has great reviews, so I bought it. I absolutely love LG phones and will miss them when they are no longer available. I have to say this phone is incredible. It was easy to transfer to this new device on my Verizon account. Setup was super easy. The phone was in like-new condition. No one can tell this was a renewed. I have to say that this phone is smaller than I would have liked, but it is working out. It is super slippery, so I had to buy a case for it and a glass screen protector. I was dropping it multiple times a day or sliding it across a table. The colors are vibrant. It holds all the apps I had before and more. Perform is great. Battery life is incredible. As always there are some pre-installed apps I cannot get rid of, but I am able to disable them. The photo quality of the camera is right up there with Apple and Samsung. Yes, I have both of those phones to compare them against. The fingerprint reader and face reader are super. I have had no problems with either one. If I run into any problems, I will update my review, but after the first several months, I am super happy with this phone.

Great phone an a great price, mine came in like new condition.
Awesome deal! Mine came in an original box with everything in it. Perfect condition and the battery life is great. I made the transition from an iPhone Xs and am happy to say the facial recognition works very similar, not quite as fast as an iPhone but pretty close (plus with no swipe up after unlocking, I'm actually back to using my phone just as fast or faster). Phone calls are clear for both me and who I'm speaking with. No problems connecting to everything, haven't tried Android auto or desktop, but Bluetooth, wifi, cell signal have been great. Screen is great outdoors, and looks great. The sound is adequate for me but as the reviews have pointed out the stereo sound is out of balance due to the stronger down firing speaker.TLDR, great phone at a great price! I would recommend it to my mom (and I'm her IT department)

Just like a brand new phone, for about 2 weeks.
My LG G8 ThinQ was just like a brand new phone. for about two weeks. I really liked the design and features. Then it started overheating and crashingI eventually had to return it. I tried another, but it crashed too. I am afraid that I cannot recommend this phone to anyone. It is unreliable.

Moved from a LG V20 to a G8 ThinQ
I've been a huge LG fan since moving over from Samsung years ago. I absolutely loved my LG V20, but because I'm such a software freak, I wanted a phone that offered more than 4 gigs of RAM memory. Many people think that 4 gigs is plenty for a phone, but I heartily disagree, especially if you're software intensive.I decided to go with the G8 ThinQ because it had 6 gigs of RAM and sparkling reviews. For the most part, I love it. LG makes some of the best phones in the biz. There were a couple of big tradeoffs though. The power button on the V20 was also the fingerprint reader, located perfectly in the middle of the back of the phone. When I would pick up the phone, my finger was naturally right there to just press on it. Easy peasy. With the G8, although the fingerprint reader is still located in the same place, the power button is now on the right side, which causes me to have to feel for the power button to turn it on. I know other phone brands are the same, but LG has discarded something which was nominally easier for users of either hand and traded their uniqueness in order to be more mainstream. That was a mistake.Another thing they did was bake the battery into the unit, unlike the V20, which had a removeable battery. Again, I believe they took this action to be more mainstream. Another mistake. The phone itself is great. I have some minor quibbles about needless baked-in software I can't disable (unless I root my phone), so I have to live with it. Samsung in the undisputed king of needless baked-in software though. The 6 gigs of memory makes for a very speedy phone, so I'm extremely happy in that regard. It's the reason I wanted to make a change from my beloved V20 and.....mission accomplished.

Phone gets stuck while you are using it.
I like the price of the phone and the ease of tranferring my data. My problem is that sometime the phone gets stuck on a certain app and I have to shut if off and restart for it to work correctly. I think i will have to return it if it doesn't get better. I have only had it going on two weeks.

Overall a great phone and savings!
After using this phone for a bit I can say that overall the LG Thin Q has been a great choice of phones. The battery life could be better. However it holds enough charge to get through the day with a fair bit of use. The fingerprint sensor works but will require a few tries if your finger is not just right for it. As for everything else, it's a great phone! I truly enjoy using it! The price was a great deal as well. I'd buy it again but highly doubt this one will ever let me down.

Great phone
The phone looks brand new. I had no issues getting the phone setup.Couple things about the phone that wished I knew before buying:- the phone body is very smooth and I found it sliding on anything but a level surface. If it is going to be an issue then consider getting a case right away.- the LG interface requires some setting changes to make it look like stock AndroidI bought this to replace a Moto Z2 Force. So far it's been a great upgrade for me. It's fast, the camera takes great images and screen looks great. The only downsides for me are the volume not being great and user interface was clunky to begin with. The hand gesture thing is a joke, but I didn't have high expectations. I would love to see the left side button be made customize-able. I would also love to have the gestures like Motorola has for turning on the flashlight and camera. Overall I am happy with this phone so far.
