Lunasidus Turkish Peshtemal Towels are perfect to have at the beach, or on your lounge chair by the pool. This also makes a beautiful throw, picnic blanket, or elegant tablecloth. You can even wear it as a cover-up, pareo, sarong or shawl! A peshtemal (Turkish: peştamal) is a traditional Turkish towel used in the Turkish baths. It is also used to specify which region people are from and is a part of a deep cultural tradition. In some places, it is called pestamal or pestemal. There are many kinds of peshtemals, with different styles and colors in each local areas in Turkey. The peshtemal absorbs water as fast as a traditional towel, dries very quickly, takes up less space, is easy to carry and is therefore used as an alternative to the towel in bathrooms, pools, spas, beaches, sport facilities and for baby care. The peshtemal fabric is made of 100% cotton produced in manually operated looms in Turkey.

Good quality towel
My wife is a Turkish towel fanatic. Ever since she came across them she has been buying them for the house and as gifts. We have Turkish towels for the boat, for the bathroom, for the kitchen and even for bathing the dogs its crazy. I decided to get these for her as a gift and they were recieved. First question was "where did you get them?" followed by "how much?" and then "these are really nice we need to get more". From what I gather the quality of this towel is very good and the price is right. Seller was Dadya Trading if that helps anyone.

... time but this bunch of order makes me so happy. Especially the peshtemals
Normally I am not putting recommendations because I do not have time but this bunch of order makes me so happy. Especially the peshtemals. So light, bright color and very soft.

but they work amazing. They're super absorbent and dry quickly
I was skeptical of these towels when they arrived because they are so thin, but they work amazing. They're super absorbent and dry quickly, also look very high end. Recommend!

Lightweight, attractive multi-purpose towel or wrap
This is a beautiful, well-made product! I love the turquoise-and-white diamond weave. The raised jacquard pattern is visible even in the white stripes of the towel. The fringe is overdone, but it does lend authenticity to the design.I was surprised when I opened the package, and the towel smelled like fresh-cut apples. Of course, that scent washed out when I laundered the fabric. The towel is machine washable and can be tumble-dried. I found that the soft 100% cotton threads both generated and attracted a tremendous amount of lint with the first washing! The body does not wrinkle as badly as I expected, but the selvage does. Perfectionists may want to touch this up with a warm iron. The fabric is remarkably thin and lightweight, like the old-fashioned tea towels my great-grandmother used to embroider. However, it was also surprisingly absorbent. It dries quickly--either in a machine, on a towel bar or on a clothes line.I wasn't as pleased with the way it felt when drying off as I am with normal terry cloth towels. I think I will stick with those for that purpose. This Turkish towel will serve me better as a blanket to lay out on the grass or the beach, or as a light covering when it's a bit breezy of a summer's eve. Those that like to wear a wrap or shawl at the pool or lakeside may appreciate this towel for that purpose, as well.

Very versatile and beautifully crafted piece of textile, navy color is very pretty
This is a beautifully made Turkish towel, but I think calling it a "towel" is a bit misleading. This is a kind of universal piece of cotton textile that can be used as a bathtowel, shawl, head covering, bed throw, etc. Right now I just have it draped over the corner of a couch in my den and it looks gorgeous. It's a very thin fabric (by design, not oversight) and while others have said it's very absorbent, I'm hesitant to use it for that, lol. I just want to used it as a shoulder covering for guests (my den is a bit cool in winter, sort of in the way the Arctic is cool) and while thin, I think the cotton fabric is probably pretty warm, especially folded over. The Turkish Cotton Peshtemal is something that's new to me, but I'm very pleased. It's hard to overstate how pretty and delicate this piece is and the navy blue, is actually more like a dark sky blue and is very cheerful. I think having a few of these in different colors as guest throws or even guest towels would be great. Also, it would make a nice cloth to toss in a picnic basket to use over a picnic bench in a park, etc.

Nice peshtemal
I really liked this towel. I have never heard of a Peshtemal before seeing this on Vine. I was impressed by the quality that went into making this towel. I was also very impressed with how well it absorbed water and how quickly it dried. I did find the tassels to be a bit of a pain in it the butt (trying walking into your bedroom with two cats and tassells....) but it didn't take away from my overall pleasure with this towel. It is lightweight and folds up small with no issues at all. It also washes and dries in the washer/dryer just fine. Overall, a very nice towel.

Pretty Peshtemal
This Peshtemal is really pretty. I love the blue and white stripes. It's large and can fully wrap around my size 14 body. It's not thick or plush like a traditional towel, but it is surprisingly absorbent. I have been using it out of the shower and it dries off my whole body without feeling wet, so I wrap and tuck it around my body while I'm moisturizing my face and arms. Because of its thinness, I think it would be good for taking with you to the pool or beach because it doesn't take up a lot of room. I haven't noticed any shedding or running of colors.

quality cotton
Okay, so this is very pretty (the blue is bright and 'clean') but it's on the thin side. It is a very nice grade of cotton, but be aware that is is thin and finely woven (very tightly so) and more dense than plush. It's like a very flat blanket or wrap. It's great at absorbing because of that, and after a couple of washings it softens up very nice, but this is a little different than your usual towels. Still, it's great for carrying around because it's thin and it's warm because of its denseness.
