These pads are great, and so much better than the disposable kind. I bought a set of six a week after I started breastfeeding and I'm finally buying a second set a year later so I will have enough to make it through a whole week without doing laundry. Why didn't I think of that earlier? A friend had recommended the disposable breast pads, but after wearing them just a couple of times, my girls were chaffed and cracking. Once I switched to these cotton pads, I never had that problem again. You can throw out the lanolin creams. It is true that they are thick, but you can't see them through a padding nursing bra. You can see them through a sleep bra and thin pajama top, but it's better than seeing the girls standing at attention and it's better than the disposable kind that look all crinkly (like you did a bad stuff job in junior high). I have never had these pads leak during the day. At the beginning when you are overproducing milk, I woke up a couple of times with the pads soaked through when the baby started sleeping longer through the night. I'm convinced that nothing would have contained that amount of leakage. The good news was that the leakage was contained to the pads. I switched them out and went back to bed. As for laundering, I have had my first set for over a year and they look like brand new. I wash them with my baby's clothes and when I take them out of the washer, I pull them flat because they can get a bit stuck together as with any other cotton fabric. I put them in the dryer and they come out flat and round every time. They are very easy to care for. I would recommend these to anyone. Pros: Soft (helps prevent chaffing) Inexpensive (don't have to continually buy disposable pads) Looks better under clothes than disposable pads Cons: I really can't think of any

I've been incredibly happy with these nursing pads so far (I have a 4-month-old): For the past month I've been pumping at work 4 days a week, and my LO has been sleeping 6 - 7 hour stretches (hallelujah!), so my pads have been put to the test at night. In the beginning I used disposable pads, but stopped as they were uncomfortable, not as absorbent as I needed, and would bunch up when I let my bra flaps down to nurse (I wear unlined nursing bras and am a 34C right now). I first tried bamboosies because of the great reviews, but they were far too thin for me, and the silky material on one side made them not stay in place. Then, the TL Care pads showed up as an add-on item and I thought, "Why not?" I love them. They are super soft, which has been really important because of the stress on my nipples from all the pumping, and they are very discrete underneath my work attire, so I don't worry about looking lumpy. They stay in place great with the type of bras I wear, and I love that they're the same material on both sides - if I leak a little and it starts to feel damp, I can flip it over so my boobs not constantly exposed to moisture. And they are very absorbent. I haven't had any problems during the day. The only time I've soaked all the way through has been during a 7-hour stretch w/out nursing at night, but even then, my bra has stayed dry. These are a great value. I wish I had known about them from the beginning.

I LOVE how soft these are, even before the first wash. Even if you do not have sensitive skin/nipples you will appreciate the soft organic cotton. I am not really a buy-organic kind of person, I just wanted to try out washable nursing pads. Now that I have these I want to use them forever! I have been nursing for almost 6 months, and these are perfect for right now, when my milk leaks a little on each side while baby nurses on the other side, and only minor leaks in between nursing sessions. These would not have been absorbent enough in my first 3-4 months of nursing where I leaked a LOT during nursing, and when I went longer between nursing sessions. But for small leaks, they are comfy and absorbent. I would recommend them to other moms with low-medium leakage. But if you leak a lot...sorry, these are not quite for you. I also LOVE how these keep their shape and lay flat even after washing. I bought another kind (Medela) to try out, and they are bigger and the fabric pilled after washing, and they also folded up and roll at the edges. The TL Care kind are much better, and not much more expensive, so I'll defintiely be getting more of them. These are slightly thick and I wear them with a bra that has a slightly padded cup, and never notice them. If you don't have a padded cup you could probably see these pads through the bra...but what nursing pads don't show through thin bras? (Hence I just always have padded cups)

I've been using these for about three weeks now and have since bought two more packs. I've been nursing now for almost 7 months. I had been using Lansinoh disposable nursing pads exclusively. I don't think these can replace disposable pads, but for me they do work much of the time. Pros: 1. Soft and feel MUCH better on sore nipples than disposables. (Several Lactation Consultants suggested I try cotton) 2. Easy to wash - just throw them into a zippered laundry bag to avoid loosing them. I suggest you hang the bag to dry as opposed to putting in the drier. 3. Use them enough and you should save money and be greener. 4. PRICE IS RIGHT! Cons: 1. These things SHRINK if you put them through the drier. Still perfectly useable, but I was surprised by how much - I'd say they are 75% of their original size. 2. If you leak a lot there is nothing to prevent it from seeping to the outside of your shirt. The only time I tend to leak is when I'm nursing. I just stuff a burp rag in the side I'm not nursing and save the pad for when I'm done. 3. They are thick and show through some bra/shirt combinations. I use these about 50 to 70 percent of the time. If I need to be sure I'm not going to leak or my pad show I reach for the disposables. I put up with the cons because these make my nipples feel so much better. No comparison when it comes to comfort. UPDATE - It's been three months + now and I use these about 95% of the time. Don't even bother to hang dry them anymore as the smaller size still works for me. I've had only a handful of accidents and they've only happened overnight when my little guy has slept longer than normal. We nurse 7x a day and I rarely have to use more than one set a day. Every gal is different though, so if you tend to leak you might not trust these for going out. They aren't perfect but you can't beat the price or the comfort. I love Amazon but I did find them at a local big box store for a bit less...

I was tired of having to shove paper towels or toilet paper in my bra when I ran out of disposable nursing pads. I was already cloth diapering my middle daughter when I got pregnant again. Reusable nursing pads were all over the cloth diaper chat pages on Facebook, so I gave it a shot. I washed them upon receiving them and hung them on the clothesline to dry. After I gave birth to our daughter - and started breastfeeding - I put these in my bra before reaching for the disposables. At first I used 2-3 layers depending on how much I was leaking. The pads were comfortable and fit me better than the disposable ones do (I'm smaller chested). But.....when they absorbed the milk, they were wet (obviously) and uncomfortable. It felt like I had a wet wash cloth in my shirt. It wasn't a big deal if I was around the house. When I left, I would put a disposable against my bra and two cotton nursing pads on top of that - against my skin. I never had an issue with leaks after that. When wearing the cotton pads alone, they did move quite a bit and I was always having to adjust them. My husband ran them through the dryer once on medium heat and they shrunk horribly. Pros: I loved the softness against my skin instead of the bulky paper feeling of a disposable nursing pad. I didn't mind layering the pads. I loved that I found a pad that fit my small size. They were reusable and I didn't have to worry about stuffing random items in my bra to conceal leaking when I ran out of pads. Easy to conceal in a handbag or diaper bag. Cons: I wanted to buy two or three sets of these reusable pads because I knew I would get behind on laundry. I could only buy one set because they were kinda pricey (just my opinion). Only 6 pads come in a set - When you're layering them because you've got heavy breastmilk leakage, you'll go through those 6 pads in an hour or two. They're thin- I was hoping for a thicker cotton pad. If you're savvy with a sewing machine, you could whip up a dozen nursing pads in 30-minutes. If you're small like me, the pads move and you're constantly having to reach down your shirt and adjust them - there's no sticker like on a disposable pad. If I do have another baby in the future, I will continue to use disposable nursing pads. And these pads will be used for something completely unrelated to breastfeeding. Save your money, do your research, buy a different brand. And don't toss them in the dryer!

After a few months of testing these out at the beginning of my postpartum journey, I have decided these are the BEST nursing pads out there, by FAR. They are buttery soft, non-irritating, and stay in place better than the ones that are advertised as "non-slip". They wash and dry easily, and I have yet to notice any shrinkage or pilling on the fabric, although I usually wash them with baby clothes and tumble dry low. Buy two or 3 packs, I promise you won't be disappointed. Me? I'm just disappointed I wasted my money on any other nursing pads.

Best nursing pads ever! When I first started nursing, I leaked so badly all the time. My daughter would be done with nursing and within minutes my shirt front would be covered in milky spots. It was horrible and I was worried about leaving the hosue. I tried the disposable nursing pads, but the plastic made my skin break out so bad. I tried several other products and they either were a horrible quality fabric to try to improve moisture wicking, or they were soft and they leaked almost immediately because they didn't have any sort of absorption to them. These are the perfect blend of soft and comfortable to the touch for those with sensitive skin, but they are also very absorbent so I didn't have to worry about leaving my house and looking like I was in a very flabby wet tee shirt contest. They survived many many washing and didn't bunch up. I was really glad when I finally stopped leaking and could get rid of them, but I am so glad I had these while I needed them. If I find out someone is going to be nursing, I buy them these pads...pay it forward and all that. ;)

As a cloth diapering (most of the time) mama, it only made sense to try cloth nursing pads as well. I used these with my first baby three years ago. They are durable and I am able to use the same pads for my second baby now. I'm purchasing more since I'm leaking more often this time around. As others have said, these are not "leak proof" in that there is no plasticy layer. Umm, I don't want to wear plastic, so I'm good with that. If you're leaking more, simply change out the pads. Easy solution. I wash these in a washing bag with nursing bras and baby socks, so they don't get lost in the laundry or folded/bunched up like some others have had issues with. These are super soft on your tender areas and I love knowing the cotton coming in contact with my baby's food supply is organic. Highly recommend!

I ordered these because the disposable kind really had me sweating, making those pads more itchy and uncomfortable. I also found the disposable kind made my nipples more sensitive. These cotton ones are really soft, and I wash them with the baby soap in the laundry. They bunch up a bit when they come out of the dryer, but you just pull the edges and they stretch back into shape (I would suggest a little mesh bag for laundry) These are also nice and thick, so they mask my nipples. They absorb minor leaks really well, which is good for me, but I don't know how well they would work for someone who has major leak issues. They also stay in place when I tuck them in my bra and are only visible through certain shirt/bra combos. They are especially great when I know I may go a few extra hours without breastfeeding and need a little reassurance. I definitely recommend!

Very rough, hurt my skin. Didn't absorbent anything. I would rather wear a cardboard piece than this one. It's not even Shaped and sits awkwardly. It's good for nothing. Would advise using a soft mulmul kerchief- does a better job
