MegaGearEver Ready Genuine Leather Camera Half Case Compatible with Leica Q2

Most cases for Leicas are ridiculously expensive. No surprise, given how much the cameras cost, but I wasn’t willing to spend hundreds of dollars on a case and so gave this one a try. It’s surprisingly good. The leather is nice quality and it fits the camera snugly. I love not having to remove the case to remove the battery or change the SD card, although it can be a little tight when changing cards, at least for my fingers. I can do it without much trouble, but it is a little tight. It looks great on my Q2 and protects the camera well. I have no regrets and would recommend this to any Q2 owner.

Very clearly too small to even squeeze onto the camera body. I suspect they sent the regular Q version - the box was not labeled, however.In addition, in contrast with some of the better reviews, this wasn't very well made. The leather was uneven around the seams, and it felt like it might not hold up well over time.On the other hand, it wasn't terrible. For the price, if it had fit, it might have been acceptable. The overall design was OK, and it seemed reasonably sturdy.

The media could not be loaded.  Some people complain they cannot use SD card door when the case is on. But, I have no issue doing that. Watch the video. I can access the SD card with one hand as I shoot a video with the other hand. So, if you have a problem accessing an SD card, there are 2 plausible reasons; 1) You have a defective unit or 2) You are physically disadvantaged (arthritis, big hands, weak fingers, you are not as tactile, etc...). I hope the video will give you a better idea.I enjoy this case. It's cheap and good. I also like the strap that came with it. But, you have to be careful. The strap doesn't hold. The strap got undone once already. I almost dropped my Leica. So, I stapled the strap strategically. Watch the video. With that, I like this strap more than the Leica strap that came with the camera.I like my case in black color, as low key as possible.5 stars for me.I hope my review will help some of my fellow Q2 shooters. The leather is very good. It fits perfectly on my Leica Q2. It provides a bit extra grip and some protection on the bottom without adding greatly to total size or weight. The battery door and the SD card door are easily accessible via snap door closures. You probably need this and might not know that you need it. Worth the money.

Quality was just OK, main objection was that it was just too tight of a fit for the Q2! Never want to force fit anything with my cameras!

Other manufacturers would charge $150-$200 for a similar item. The MegaGear half case looks great, fits great, and costs a third of the price. Highly recommended.

Prodotto perfetto. Conforme a quanto in descrizione. Calza perfettamente sulla mia Leica Q2. Gli sportellini si possono aprire senza problemi. Non capisco chi si lamenta del prodotto. Lo consiglio vivamente. Prezzo eccellente

The top of the case and near the lens (leather flaps out) doesn't fit completely (approx. 0,5 cm). I can imagine dust and sand is coming in and scratches the camera (I've read this in the reviews, but wanted to see for my self). So this case misses its whole purpose.I also read some comments that people complain about the battery and the SD hatches. They work just fine.

Ich habe bereits Mega Gear Taschen für div. FujiFilm Kameras gekauft, sehen toll aus und sind funktional. Bei der Leica Q2 war das Case leider unpassend und eher zu eng gearbeitet. Daher habe ich es wieder zurück geschickt.

Den är för liten till Leica Q2 och går inte att få på kameran!

Great fit for camera at a fraction of the price of the makers - great quality , I have one for all my cameras , well made & robust - highly recommended
