NOW Essential Oils, Ylang Ylang Extra Oil, Comforting Aromatherapy Scent, Steam Distilled, 100% Pure, Vegan, Child Resistant Cap, 1-Ounce

I'm super delighted that I purchased this wonderful ylang ylang by Now. I've never had ylang ylang extra before and it is very superior to ylang ylang III. Ylang extra is a higher quality and more expensive essential oil due to the distillation process. Having purchased ylang III in the past, as that was what was available in the health food stores, I thought that was what ylang smelled like: wonderfully exotic but kind of a medicinal petrolium unpleasant undertone. This Now ylang extra lacks that medicinal petro undertone and is so lovely it can even be worn as a perfume oil. I like to put a couple drops (it's very strong) on my lava bead bracelet and inhale to feel a dreamy improved mood and reduce inflammation. This lovely scent can carry my spirit away to beautiful places. Benefits of ylang are numerous and I will be using it more now that I have discovered Now ylang. For strong healthy hair and to prevent breakage I mix this ylang along with clary sage into hair products or even rub one or two drops in my hands to smooth onto wet freshly washed hair which smell fabulous. For shine and softness, I add Now 100% chamomile. I had no idea that ylang extra would be so fabulous and superior. Very impressed Now!

After having a really bad tension-inducing month I decided to experiment with some Ylang Ylang to try to knock my blood pressure down to manageable level. So I applied a small drop of this to each pulse point on the wrists and into the crook of the elbows. That was about mid-afternoon. I wandered around for the rest of the day, yawning every five minutes until bedtime, then fell asleep with a violent hypnic jerk that threw one arm towards the ceiling with so much force that it actually flipped me over. Learned three things from this.... 1. This is really good pure (and strong) Ylang Ylang oil that does exactly what is claimed for an essential oil. 2. NEVER use essential oils uncut. Next time I need to lower my blood pressure, I'll be cutting this with some grapeseed oil or something. My poor body thought it was dying when I finally lay down to sleep. I can live without that experience again. 3. Four drops is too much. Twenty minutes later you will resemble the lead carcass from "Day of the Dead".

I have stayed with the NOW brand of Ylang Ylang for about 20 years. NOW is reliable and doesn't substitute the Ylang Ylang flower with bark and synthetics like some companies are doing. I enjoy using a few drops of Ylang Ylang in my bathwater for a wonderful soothing bath. I also use it as an alternative fragrance in my homemade skin moisturizer, deoderant, and soap. The NOW Ylang Ylang is fulll bodied. You honestly only need a tiny dab on one wrist to act as your perfume for the day. This is my opinion from experience. Ylang Ylang works best as the only fragrance in whatever type of batch you are creating. Don't add or mix other floral, sap, or woody fragrance with Ylang Ylang. And remember, a little dab 'll do ya. Really great oil. Smells amazing. We use it as an alternative to manage my son's heart arrhythmia. We haven't used it long enough to notice a difference yet, but he enjoys putting in over his heart in the morning with some coconut oil. Will update if anything changes. The price was great compared to the self-proclaimed "therapeutic grade" oils. Watch out for those claims. There is no certifying agency for oils. Companies coined that term to make them sound better so they can charge more for their "standards". We usually buy from a more local company, but couldn't wait for them to get it in stock, so we went with this and are happy we did.

This ylang ylang oil smells wonderful, and I've used it for many purposes so far! I put a few drops in my home made body wash, my essential oils face serum, and aromatherapy just to name a few uses. After adding a few drops to my face serum, which has grape seed oil, lavendar, rose hip seed oil, frankincense, and lemon oil, I noticed a difference to my skin. It feels tighter, and it adds a wonderful complementing scent to my serum. I live by a Whole Foods and constantly go and smell their essential oils often just for kicks when I'm shopping. I smelled the aura cacia brand ylang ylang and went online to buy it through NOW because of the lower price. The smells are comparable but the price is perfect! I highly recommend this oil as well as NOW products!

The oil is good quality. The scent itself is very floral, perfume like. I think I like it but I would prefer to use it in a blend, as it is not a very fresh scent. It reminds me of a lilly bouquet, or a freshener used in restrooms. Still 5 stars because that's apparently how it's supposed to smell and also because the scent is still interesting, very different from other florals like rose, geranium and jasmine. I'm looking forward to using it in blends.

This is my first purchase of the NOW Foods from this seller. Most importantly, I love the scent. It has a light, heavenly, floral scent, doesn't have a heavy rose smell. It has a plastic eye drop cap so you don't accidentally pour too much out, and a screw on cover like the picture shows. I wanted a larger bottle, and my previous purchases from Edens Gardens only offered .33 oz I used them all up too quickly. I add a few drops into my humidifier during winter and it brings a light, lovely scent in my home that's not overpowering. When I practice yoga or meditation, I'll use my oil warmers to send a stronger fragrance in the room. I've also purchased the Lavender and Clary Sage, and just a few drops goes a long way. I also like to add essential oils to my massage oils. My order arrived fast, 3-days free shipping. Each bottle well wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged in a box, so nothing came cracked and nothing leaked. I will add more of these essential oils to my collection as their selections grow.

Helps my anxiety problem better than most other supplements.

Odiei o cheuro do produto, já usei outros ylang ylang antes e amei a fragância...mas este de vocês é muito fedido.....só abri cheirei e odiei...não acredito que paguei tão caro neste óleo fedido.
