Professor Severus Snape Cosplay Costumes with Cape for Adult

I loved this costume. I I was getting compliments everywhere I turned. I wore it to work on Halloween. And I won the costume contest. Got the wig and wand to go with it every one lived Hr. Definitely doing it again next year. I usaully wear medium or large but got a size large because I was told it ran small it fit perfectly. It was just a little big in the neck. That's my only complaint. A size smaller would have been to small. Great costume.

Ordered this costume in advance of my daughter’s Harry Potter themed birthday party. I have long dark hair, so I chose to play the role of Severus Snape for the party. The costume was perfect.It looked fantastic. The material was a bit lighter than I expected, but it looks fine. I probably won’t be wearing it in winter anytime soon, but for Oklahoma’s autumns it will certainly be comfortable for future Halloween outings.The costume also shipped and arrived sooner than I expected, which wasn’t necessarily needed, but was certainly appreciated.The only reason I didn't give the costume 5 Stars, is that it was a bit too small. Now, i’m 6’9” tall, and weigh 200lbs, so I had no expectation that the sleeves would fit me if I bought the size to fit my body. However, while the sleeves were as short as I expected (and not too bad, really), they were almost uncomfortably tight around my biceps and elbows. It limited my mobility somewhat, and started to get painful after being in the costume for 3 hours. I would probably go one size bigger than I did, if I ordered this again. But, I have a unique body type, so that’s my personal situation.

I have dressed as Snape for 13 years picking up pieces for my outfit here and there but I never had anything "officially" that was Snape's attire. I was very excited for this and it was just swimming on me. I did all the measurements and ordered what was supposed to be my size but because I was right on the line of large and xl I went with xl. The neck was silly looking because it was so over my size but the shoulders and cuffs were just right. The torso was 8 inches more than I needed and far over sized. The material was very lightweight which might have been nice to keep me cooler considering I would be in the costume in doors most of the day but I would have liked it to be more quality feeling if I were to re-order it. As it is I will keep searching for a better fitting Professor Snape outfit.

I was the hit at “Luke Skywalker Meets Harry Potter.” The official Snape wand set it off. I added wide white bias tape to the collar and cuffs to complete the look with black pants and black shoes. Snape approves 🤓

This was very good quality, just know if you usually wear an XL, this XL is alot smaller. Unbuttoned I still had about 6 inches across my chest open. I'll be ordering a 2x or 3x. but I just wanted to warn those ordering an XL

Overall, I was happy with the quality of the material and the look, but the quality control was horrible. The reason I say the quality control was so bad is many of the button holes were to small to get the button through and had to be redone. In addition the length of the arms was made for a gorilla and had to be taken up. So, in short I had to pay a tailor an additional $25.00 to resolve these issues. Once these issues were taken care of, I did get a lot of compliments on the costume. I am thankful that the shipping was quick and I received the item promptly.

Costume looks great, I wore it to two halloween outings. Main complaint is the buttons are each sewn on by a single loose thread and can come off if you sit down, bend, reach, etc anything other than just standing in it. I fixed this myself with some quick needle and thread work to secure the buttons with extra strings. Also a lot of the holes the buttons were supposed to go into were too small, fixed this myself too with some scissors. All in all its a good looking halloween costume that everyone will recognize (as either severus snape from harry potter or trent reznor from the perfect drug video haha) but obviously not made like an actual robe you could normally wear around without it falling apart.

There are a few reasons why I returned this item. The main one is that it does not fit at all. I ordered an XL size and the fit is at best a Medium. The tag says "XL" so it's not the wrong item, it's just very small. Second, the fabric is very thin. Not thick and heavy looking as in the photo. Had it fit, I might have used as a costume but since it didn't fit, I sent it back. Only then did I learn that I would have to cover the cost of shipping this defective item back. I would not buy anything from this seller as you will have to pay for returns even if you are a longtime Prime member like I am.
