Works for G6 also
I used this caddy / bracket to install a 2.5" SSD in my HP ZBook 15 G6. Fit perfectly. Seems silly that HP didn't include it with this high-end laptop. Glad that it was available here for purchase.

Works no mods needed
Some reviews are claiming you need to modify it...well it went into my G5 with out any issue or mods...

Doe not work for HP Zbook 15 G5 without modifications and a lot of patience
My first impression was that it was solidly made bracket. All screws fit perfectly. However there is no way to install properly without removing plastic cam arm or rather parts of plastic cam arm. I could not figure out why the bracket didn't fit into place. It was not easy to see the problem so I used pliers to make adjustment and managed to almost destroy the bracket. I was quite upset and I manage to brake plastic arm. I finally removed both sides of plastic arm that suppose make installation and removal of bracket easy and I was able to install disk and bracket properly. I am not going to say what I had to do to calm my nerves after all was done.

Works with modifications
Does not fit a ZBook 17 G5 without a decent amount of modifications including trimming down of the cam arm to fit the slot and removal anchoring screws. After 20 min with a side cutter and needle nose pliers, it does cam into place and allows hdd to be read by my PC.
