Finish looks solid.
As others have said… just a plug. But the finish appears to be solid leading me to be less concerned about flaking and oxidizing.

BAD PRODUCT NOT STAINLESS STEEL
Bad product! My first order were NOT Stainless Steel! I am giving them a chance to make my order of 6 ea. 1/2" hex wrench plugs. I hopes Amazon gets this Seller straightened out!
