Is the vent in the lid just a hole in the glass or should it have a metal ring?

Mine has two small holes in the glass, side by side. No metal rings.

Does the glass lid fit tight or loose?

I don’t think it’s a snug fit. I don’t have to pull to get it off. But I think it’s a normal fit, without any gaps
