I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to know about military medals . The author gives information as to what the medals look like, what they are for, when they originated. This helped me figure out what all my fathers medals were and why he received them. Most informative book. The photos are wonderful. I sent a copy to my brother and we went through one by one of our fathers medals and my brothers. We realized both should have received others so we are working on that. The book is just wonderful and full of information.

Perfect - tells me almost everything I needed to know. Is slightly dated - some medals not in it and alignment of devices not indicated for various branches - but a wealth of good info.

Came fast and looks nice. Great quality. I was a little surprised there weren't more color shots inside (most are black and white) but whatever, it's still a nice book.

A great source for anyone looking for a quick overview of the history and requirment for the awards. I am, at the urging of my children, making an album detailing the awards and decorations awarded me during my Army career. I find the book excellent for source for this.
