Falcon IV Lockback Knife

Good knife, if you are LUCKY to get defect-free one
***The one star was primarily due to seller response. I would give 3 start for knife only***This is will be a LONG review, but I hope people take time to read it through the end. Thanks.Pros about knife: Knife is good size because the size fits for key chain and easy to use designCons about knife: There wasn't particular that stands out except that mine was little rough on opening and closing the knife.Cons about seller: The seller had no care for "customer" satisfaction. Do you expect any customer to be happy with dirty, dulled-looking knife? It had black marks and scratches that made the knife look ugly. For correctness, take out FALSE description that says that this knife can cut cords. I couldn't even cut thin paper without sharpening tool. I also asked for replacement because the handle was chipped apart - a genuine reason for replacement, right? Can you guess how the seller responded? He/She said replacement was POINTLESS because the it will have SAME dirty, dulled, and defected quality. I thought mine was just one of the defects that came, but apparently, this seller just sells lot of defects. To prevent anyone from saying that I am making a BIG FUSS over some little piece of CHEAP KNIFE for no good reason, let's pretend that I bought a new laptop (500-700 bucks) from Amazon instead of this knife.1. I asked for exchange when I found broken parts and scratches on the laptop2. Seller gives response saying, "There is no point for exchange because all our laptops will have same scratches and dents. Sorry that you are disappointed, but this laptop seems not a good fit for you. Find another laptop that suits your need."3. The seller's response caused me to write this review.Am I making unreasonable claim? Just because the knife is cheaper than the laptop, should I just accept the defect as a norm? Will you be satisfied after buying new clothes, shoes, books, cars, or whatever that has scratches or broken parts? In my perspective, unless a product cost is free, there is no right reason to legitimize defects when I paid my good money for this knife. What made me very disappointed was when the seller responded to me like I was someone lying about receiving "dirty" knife. (It was dusty and had black marks on the blade tips. He/She seemed to argue that receiving "dirty" knife is impossible because it came from a "new" box. (So anything that is coming out from a new box is clean, new product. Wow! That is some convincing argument.)*** In the pictures, the broken part is easily visible. I am not sure how many people can really see semi-long scratches across the knife, but I am not lying about scratches and black marks.***For conclusion, this was the first time that I had any dissatisfaction with Amazon seller. (Disappointed and surprised.) If you still want to buy this knife, I am not here to stop you. It is a good buy for a price, if you are lucky to get a good one. If you get the genuine product and like it, then good for you. (*Remember, I am stuck with my defected knife because seller dismissed my request for an exchange for genuine, perfect-condition knife to me.)

Love it
For a couple bucks, you get a great knife that is easily kept on your keychain for opening boxes or envelopes or whatever may come up.

Very cheap
Feels very flimsy and does not lock firmly into place. it is okay in sharpness but not worth it in my opinion. very lightweight plastic. feels very cheap.

Fulfilled its Purpose
Upon receiving this knife, I was immediately satisfied. I bought the knife for under a dollar, and ended up receiving two knives which have held up in all circumstances.Additionally, it is nice to know that these knives are easily replaceable if they are lost or broken for some unforeseeable reason.

It's fine for what it is
For being only $4 shipped, this is great. Not the highest quality, but that's fine for the money. I wanted something small enough for my keychain that I won't care about if it gets damaged or lost. This fits the bill.

Great Inexpensive Knife
I had one of these knives for about 4 years when my wife and i had a court hearing to go to. When we went into the courthouse i didn't think about it being on my key-ring, and one of the security guards said i couldn't bring it in. So alas, i lost the knife. I've now purchased another one and can't wait for it to arrive. The knife certainly isn't a machete or a metal Browning knife, but they are wonderful when you need to cut small objects.
