Klein Tools 56341 Electrical Fish Tape / Wire Puller, Stainless Steel with Double Loop Tip, Optimized Housing and Handle, 1/8-Inch x 240-Foot

I purchased this Klein fish tape to pull wiring for an 80-amp subpanel approximately 120 feet from my main panel. The run included four #4 THHN conductors, and this fish tape handled the job without any issues. The tape was rigid enough to navigate the conduit while still being flexible enough to make the bends without binding. The eyelet connection held securely, and I never felt like I was pushing the tool beyond its limits, even with the heavier wire pull. What stood out most was how smoothly it fed through the conduit and how easy it was to reel back in afterward. The housing is durable, comfortable to use, and feels like a professional-grade tool that will last for years. If you’re pulling larger conductors or tackling longer conduit runs, this fish tape is absolutely worth the investment. It saved time, reduced frustration, and performed exactly as I hoped it would. Highly recommended.

Using a stainless-steel fish tape is light years better than a steel tape. Invariably conduits have water in them and that causes the steel tapes to rust very quickly.

Works as you expect. Distance marks on the back are nice, but they start at the wrong end. You have to subtract the number from 240 to get the distance. It's not too much of an issue until you're tired and forget it's 240 and not 200.

Since I have been professionally engaged in installation for more than 35 years, I want to emphasize that this is the best option for pulling a cable in a metal hose (especially if you work on a deal where the speed is directly proportional to the salary) Of course, fiberglass or fiberglass is lighter and more electrically safe, but over time it twists , the upper braid peels off and. etc., becomes unusable. This one is made of stainless steel, it can overcome small congestions if you pass the hermetic seal (and this is at least 6 meters, when the ant will not crawl through.) Withstands heavy loads, increases your performance several times without effort, since this tool is thought out to little things, and most importantly it will be enough with a careful attitude for more than a dozen years !!!

Klein has a lifetime warranty return should not end I used it once and it broke. I’d like to return it to erase this review

This is a very nice fishtape. The lazer etched footage markings are great for underground pulls no more numbered cloth pullstring needed to Gauge underground distance. This tape is considerably lighter than my ideal tape which is the same length which is impressive since its stainless steel

LOVE this tape. Work in pool construction and this sucker has seen some abuse. My other Klein rusted ( in AZ ) in a week. If you are always around water, this is the tape for you! Just pulled a 220’ with 3 90s and a 50’ long 45 curve and it was like butter. Highly recommend

Excellent quality fish tape. Bought for occasional DIY use. Used to push pull rope through 3/4" poly pipe conduit. The ethernet cable alone or the vacuum method would not work but this did the trick. I expect this to last a lifetime since it is well built.

The wire itself is a good gauge and achieves a pretty good balance between flexibility and rigidity but it's only really of practical use in fairly straight runs. You'll struggle to get this to go round more than one or two significant bends or corners. That said it's extremely useful in situations you need to be a bit persuasive to get the fish tape through

Very heavy larger than expected reel, this is the 240ft version and perfect for large cable laying and getting the new aerial install in the loft without needing to use ladders on both sides of the house to fix it. Has indicators every ft of the length you have, with a hook on the end to attach cables or whatever else you need, i suppose this could be handy for retrieving your keys if you drop them in a drain, a bit of a cliché i know lol. Quite heavy, has a really easy to reel in drum, i think is bearing centred, and a easy to hold handle.
