These do the Job. Made better than most things these days. I would recommend these, but if you are getting the 3 bar version it is real small and covers hardly any room. I had to buy a bunch of these because paranoid family members so I bought all different sizes and bar separations and I've seen them all. Word of advice--- buy the five bar Guard.

Does the job of keeping the kids from falling out the upstairs window, but I am nervous that I won't be able to operate the fire safety latch in a hurry.
