One of the finest axes you'll ever own!!*****
Man oh man, if you've not picked up one of these axes you are missing out!!!!!!, these are by far the finest axes I've ever used in my life, there's no question. They are five star quality, and some of the finest axes ever made, have cut down multiple trees, delimbed multiple tree trunks, survive through several storms, used under heavy duress and after searching for over 30 years using other subpar axes, these are by far the ultimate******** can't say enough good things about these axes, touted as some of the finest in the world, I have no doubts. Doubts? I'm not sure five stars is enough, wished I'd found them earlier, washed and viewed multiple YouTube videos on how to use them, sharpen them and take care of them, no question near my mind it will last you 50 years is the guarantee they come with a bit spendy, however, worth the money, the quality of the tools, are some of the finest after all you're paying for the ax head by far supersede any other axes that I've ever picked up or used in my life? Thanks for making a great product******

What a beauty
My o my what a great axe the fit could not be any better. The axe came sharp and ready to work. The axe arrived treated with linseed oil plus i didn't have to scrape off any plastic coating.

The steel is too thick behind the edge!!!
Great axe it's made by Hults Bruks so the quality is spot on the only complaint I have it that the edge geometry is to thick it needs to be thinner it's great for splitting and such work it cuts ok cause the edge is so thick. I also have another HB axe with a 19in handle and as far as cutting it will out cut this one every day of the week and twice on sunday. But if you have the means to take down the steel behind the edge this thing would be a monster but it is still an all around good axe.

Do it
You get more than what you pay for, if you don't wanna spend 200-300 it's absolutely a great axe. Proper care it'll last.

I wanted to love it.
Axe head had rust hidden under paint and handle was cracked where it entered the base of the head. Balance and swing feel were perfect. Handle was poorly finished—rough to the touch and not well coated. Even the forging was left scruffy compared to any other premium axe in my collection. Edge was perfectly razor sharp. I recently purchased another smaller axe of this brand that is perfect in every way. Love it! I would really like to get one of this model built to the same standards of quality and professional care. Then I would love it, too. At least for 30 minutes out of the box we had some fun in the wood yard before I had to send it back.
