Aye-Aye Gets Lucky (Endangered and Misunderstood Animals) Review: children's - Aye-Aye (Lemur) loved to pull pranks on everyone. His creepy hand would scare the young/old alike. They would leave their people food for him to eat. The word spread among the villagers that he was bad luck. Aye-Aye hid from everyone. Suddenly there was a flying fox bat, it scared Aye-Aye. What advice did she give Aye-Aye? I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary) rhyming animal storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (different animals), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars. It also included a valuable lesson about helping others. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Everything - story, message and illustrations
This short children's book does a fantastic job with a fun plot and great illustrations. There is a nice developmental message for young readers in there about how to treat others and have empathy, but it doesn't upstage the story. Added plus is the author's choice to shine a light on a less-well-known animal from Madagascar and charitable donation to help the aye-aye. More than enough reasons to read!

Mischief Gone Awry..
Aye-Aye, a lemur, enjoys pulling pranks on the people who live in the villages of Madagascar. After a time, the inhabitants tire of his pranks and ban Aye-Aye. He wanders around scared and hungry. After a while, Aye-Aye encounters a flying fox who terrifies him. The fox did not mean to frighten the lemur. He turns out to be a friend trying to teach Aye-Aye a valuable lesson. Aye-Aye becomes brave enough to attempt to regain the villagers approval. He hides for a while, building up his courage. Will he discover a way to obtain their forgiveness? This rhyming, picture book for elementary school age children teaches them about endangered species and encourages children to get involved in their protection. A portion of the book's profits go to that cause. As a bonus, readers learn how to draw lemurs and flying foxes, discover fun facts about them, and learn different ways they can protect them. Recommended for elementary age readers who enjoy books about animals, the environment, and community involvement.

informatively cute
This is a story about an endangered species of primate that many people have never encountered. The story is about an Aye-Aye that was misunderstood and banished. After he/r learned his/her lesson from a flying friend, he was once again accepted again. In a poet way of telling the story, it felt more poignantly significant with the pictures and their descriptions.

Adorable Aye-Aye!
We love reading this with our 5 year old son! He loves learning about all animals and this story is a sweet way to engage children with the topic of endangered species! Plus, the author doesn’t shy away from the thing that is the funniest to 4-6 year olds... poop! Definitely a repeatable read as the illustrations are beautiful and it seems like there is something new to discover at every story time.
