Ive tried 4 other Beard Balm/Salves so far. Prices ranging from 10-25.00 each.This is by far my favorite, and happens to be the cheapest. So win, win.Pros -No Greasy left over residueHelps keep those tangles out of my beard.Has just as much hold as any of the other balms on the market.Smells nice - Reminds me of wood shavingsCons -(and Im just being picky here)Might just be my tin, but the Balm/Salve is much harder compared to other products. But this isnt really a bad thing. It keeps me from using to much.If I could, I would give this product 4 and a half stars.Currently my beard is about 4" long, and this product works perfectly for me.

by far the best decision ive ever made was buying this balm. Look at that price! and your not getting a cheap balm either! GREAT smell, great texture! not too oily at all! plus it last forever! my beard is about 7-9 inches long and i only have to use a pea size daily. PLUS it nourishes it SOOOOOO good! The salve smells great. I notice it when applying but it either dissipates or I get used to it shortly after and no longer notice. It adds just a little pleasant shine to facial hair which seems to mellow out the longer it stays after being worked in; the shine isn't too noticeable like a hair gel or pomade. It provides just enough hold to groom facial hair and help manage scraggly stray hairs to being combed in the same direction. I wouldn't say this has enough hold to style or shape facial hair though. Hair does seem a little less rough after applying and it does seem to moisturize.Warming a small amount by rubbing it into the hands seems to work well and fairly quickly depending on the ambient temperature it's being stored in. In the winter the consistency is more waxy and it takes a bit more work to get it to melt. In the summer it's much softer and melts almost immediately in my palm before application. I have relatively short facial hair so a small pea sized amount is more than enough for me.

I have purchased two of these. I was really impressed with the first one. The consistency was that of a salve, non greasy and would massage into my beard very well. The second one has a totally different consistency, it is more like a lotion and more liquid. Frankly, I was dissappointed with the second container. I don't know if there was a bad batch and it just didn't mix well, or if they changed the formula. I am really hesitant to order the third one because of this. If there is someone who could reassure me that the second one was just a mistake, then I would probably re-order again. But, as of now, I am hesitant.

I love this stuff, BETTER THAN OIL! This is my second order and after going a few weeks without it, my beard has really been crying for it! I have tried a few different things on my beard and this salve has worked the best for me. Here’s why I keep going back to this salve (wax):• Has about a half days hold (the biggest reason I use this product), if you need something stronger you aren’t trimming enough! Sometimes I’ll add more if I have an evening event and need a re-do• The salve/wax seems to soak into my beard better than oils; I went back to oils for a 3 weeks before reordering this salve and it did not compare to the first day back to using the salve – 1 day and beard hair was softer than 3 weeks on oils• Gives a bit darker and fuller look to your beard for the aforementioned first half of the day• Doesn’t leave a greasy sheen like oils, has a semi-gloss look• Easy to use, melts on your fingers and spreads very easy

Smells great, goes on easily and make my beard look healthy and neat. I thought 2oz would not be enough, but honestly it is lasting a lot longer than I anticipated. I use it daily. My beard is dyed as it is waaay grayer than my hair, this doesn't seem to affect the color at all.I'm a huge Bay Rum fan and this has the scent I like, though as is the case with all Bay Rum products, the scent doesn't last too long.

My husband has been using this for two weeks and he really finds it beneficial in keeping his beard straight and helps the hair lay in place. Before using this, his beard was quite a mess. It has a nice moisturizing benefit for the skin and his beard is much softer. It was a great gift and now he's hooked and uses this every day.

A friend of mine introduced me to this product. The first box i ordered was really good. The mix was liquidy and easily applicable. Based on good quality product , i ordered another box. The second box was filled with only wax. It came to me as hard ball ( not at all applicable to beard) . I tried to melt it on induction plate ( chocolate fondue style) . However , since the only thing it contains is wax, it become hard ball as soon as its off the heat. Heartbreaker!

Not a fan of the scent, smells like musty old man... Kinda all day greasy after applied, does make rough hair nice and soft and manageable.

Love the consistency of this product.

I like it, all is as described except as a wax. The smell is really great. At least my wife likes it.
