I have been using the barrel shaped, foam earplugs for years. I wanted something reusable, but comfortable. These are definitely comfortable for me. I have small ears. These fit fine and stay in until I remove them. I had purchased hard, plastic earplugs that hurt when removed. Not so with these. I use them for sleeping to reduce the noise of husband and dog's snoring😄 I sleep well using these earplugs. The case makes it easy to store them in my night table too.Uodate: I've been using these for 7-8 mo. now. They look brand new, and are still as effective and comfortable as when I first started using them. To get more noise cancellation I sometimes gently push them in a little bit more. My ears are sensitive, but these have caused zero pain. Plus they are washable in gentle soap and water. I have to laugh at how often I say to my husband at night, "I love these earplugs!"

Unfortunately, every night I've worn these earplugs, I've had to remove them part way through the night because of pain or itching. I did have to cut the stem shorter so that it wouldn't stick out so much, but that still didn't make the earplugs comfortable enough to wear all night.

These ear plugs are probably the closest ones I've tried to stay in my ear. I think it is safe for me to say I am a little less annoyed with my neighbor talking late at night and the dogs across the street constantly barking. The foam ones I had before fall out easily but these ones have ridges and are rubbery so that they stay in place fairly well. They are also easy to pull out and adjust for comfort. My only complaint is that these ear plugs hurt my ears a little since I am a side-sleeper and they did not stay in my ears when I woke up the next morning (most likely because I toss and turn a lot in my sleep). Overall, best ones I've found yet.

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful these ear plugs are. I was using Macks mostly and I tried many different styles like a plastic putty which was weird. I got these took one look and said no way but let me tell you they have changed my life. I buying another pair to put up because if I couldn't find them at bedtime or when I just want to block out the noise during the day I wouldn't be able to cope.

They don't block noise very well. The pointy bits are too long, so I nipped them in half. Comfortable enough to wear now, but mostly ineffective for their intended purpose. Not worth buying.

I did have to cut the stems so when I lay on my side they don’t push into my ear. I’ve never slept with ear plugs before so I was worried I wouldn’t get used to them, but I did after two nights. My neighbors upstairs run and stomp around and this cancels their noise out so I can sleep during the day, since I work nights.
