(Mrs O is reviewing) I bought this for my partner as a 40th gift (he wanted a nice bag) and was crossing my fingers that the quality would be sufficient. I was not disappointed. I feel that the price accurately reflects the quality. It looks like a £180 bag and I probably would have paid that for it, had it not been on sale for £60 less. Obviously he hasn't had it for very long, so it has not been time tested, but on inspection, everything is well made and carefully considered. There are plenty of pockets and compartments for storage, the leather strap is backed with with canvas webbing. (useful, as many of the bags I looked at had problems with leather treatment/dye rubbing off on clothing) and there is a zip closure as well as magnetic clasps to keep it shut.The strap can be shortened to half the length as nothing prevents the buckle from moving along it. It was bought as a work bag and is big enough to to fit a 15" laptop and A4 clipboard as well as other items. (Though it's not a laptop bag so I don't know if you could expect the straps to take the strain of one, daily.) In my opinion it's an excellent quality, beautiful, but very functional bag that I expect to look better with age, and to last. No doubt I will update if this is not the case. I feel the one star review is unfair, given that there is no comment on the actual bag. It makes an impressive gift and Mr O loves it, which is obviously the most important thing. No regrets. (Dvd and 6'2" man included in photos for scale.) (In case anyone wonders about my purchasing ability, my family own a designer handbag/accessories boutique. I'm not a noob.)

I am very happy with this purchase as I have been looking for the, to me at least, ideal distressed leather satchel for some time. My requirements were high quality, fantastic leather smell! and size - small but able to accommodate a 12-13" laptop, charger and a few other essential items for business use and this meets these requirements perfectly. I purchased the nutmeg colour. The leather is very supple and beautifully finished - it can mark in use but this is to be expected with distressed type leather and will, I am sure, add to the look over the years. The smell is fantastic - even after nearly 3-months use it is still nice! Inside there is a nice finish with plenty of pockets to take pens and the like - handy that there is also a pocket on the outside (the edge that will be closer to you in use) so you can put essentials there for quick access. The front flap seals with magnetic catches. For the price I expect a decent amount of use for the bag and will update my review if anything should change over this time. For now I can highly recommend this product.

The bag is absolutely worth the price and I liked the appearance and workmanship. It was just smaller than I expected and had to send it back. A big folder doesn't really fit for this bag and if it is too full, the magnetic closure is not closing anymore. The producer was very kind and helpful and I took a bigger one (Miami) which is just perfect and will get 5 Stars from me :). If you don't have too big stuff to put in, I'm sure you'll like it.

It's a great bag! Big enough to fit my school books in (two A4 refill pads, two A4 textbooks, 13" laptop and a pencil case) with enough room to squeeze in a water bottle or lunch too. Lots of pockets for all your needs: a zip pocket on back, a magnetic button-catch pocket on back, then underneat flap you have another zipped pocket so you won't be short of places to put loose ends of paper! Feels really high quality and I'm a good few months of daily heavy usage, and nothing bad to show for it! 10/10 would recommend to any student - but works well as a day bag for the odd day out as well :)

Great bag, fits my laptop, its mains lead, mouse and accessories and still manages to look stylish. Not a lover of the magnetic catches, they never seem secure; plenty of compartments, some are zippered. The finish is a dark brown in a leather that is a cross between suede and patent leather; you certainly couldn't clean and polish it like you would your shoes. Perhaps best to use a suede cleaner.

I needed a bag for work to take my MacBook, charger, etc. Initially I went for a main brand laptop bag which I promptly returned. After a bit of searching, I found Leabags. It was a great purchase for the price point. It has the quality, looks and all the storage compartments you would need for a laptop/work bag.

This is a fantastic bag, beautifully made and exuding quality throughout. The company are also top class and I really appreciated the personal email they sent to me after I had ordered the bag from Amazon. I ordered the nutmeg leather Oxford messenger bag. The leather is beautiful and already 'vintage' looking as promised. It is also a perfect size for what I needed; not for a laptop but a daily work and weekend leisure bag. There is fine attention to detail right down to the lining and stitching. Just perfect.

Beautiful quality soft leather. This was a gift last Christmas and after a year it’s still in perfect condition, just starting to take on a bit of character. All stitching has lasted well despite being used daily. A really good quality item. Well worth the price tag.

I bought this bag in July of 2015. About a month later I was saddened to see a tear starting its way along one of the hinges on the bag. This bag had treated me so well! How could it start to fail after only a month! Well I kept on going, hoping it wouldn't get worse. Alas, it did. Eventually it finally gave in, about 2 months after purchase. What a sham, I thought. Annoyed, I took a picture and emailed it to the seller. Within a few days I received a sincerely apologetic email promising to immediately ship me a return, free of charge. After confirmation they express mailed a replacement with a free bottle of oil. I was cautiously pleased. I'm proud to say that 6 months later my bag shows not a sign of wear other than the beautiful patina the leather has taken on. After receiving a clearly rarely defective unit, I couldn't have asked for better service and replacement. I'm very happy with my purchase. Although this bag appears like it will last many, many more years, I'm sure my next purchase will be from the same company. Thank you Leabags.

I was extremely hesitant about purchasing this bag, however I have been thoroughly impressed. I purchased the black which is closer to a dark slate which I like. The feel is extremely soft but almost rubbery. The straps, magnets and hooks are all bronze. The inside material is a black felt like material. I was surprised at how many pockets are within this bag... 6. One zip in the front as you open up the magnetic section which is the size of two iPad Mini's. Then the main storage area has a zipper (with pull-tab for ease) to protect contents. In the inside main compartment is an iPad sized pocket with a small Velcro tab (which annoyed me; why use magnets everywhere else but here?? Cost cutting I guess...). Attached to this pocket is a pocket large enough for an external hard-drive / phone, followed by a slimmer pocket for a small cable I guess, followed by 3 pen loops which fit up to a sharpie in width (snug). Then the main compartment area which is more than sufficient for a laptop, and a couple of thin folders / books. Next to that is another iPad sized zipped in the side wall. Now on the outside is a hidden magnetic closing sleeve for larger documents (newspaper I guess). Then on the exterior is another dual iPad Mini sized zipper pocket. The strap is so-so but like one user stated; this can be cut off and replaced however the conundrum is why am I paying a bunch of money for an item that is not perfect... Well, nothing will be perfect but this professional, clean-looking messenger bag is something that more than satisfied my needs and is definitely worth the money.
