Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season 1, Vol. 1

I'm old, have a wife, and i'm working 60 hours a week. 21 and I'm soooo tired I look 37. I've waited since I was like 12 for this to be released... 9 years later ....................................................................................... And boy it was about time!!!! Pre-ordered 1 day shipping! I needed this,my life will soon be complete. After seeing the green/white ranger at Comic-con I thought life wasn't going to get better. But boy i'm happy to be wrong! I'll be buying this with a red ranger figure and I don't give a damn what anyone says, this was the best dang show of my childhood! I'm tearing up as I write this, it feels bitter-sweet to wait soo long to taste this, but feels awesome to finally get this. Ah racist Zordon..... I was too innocent back then now i'll be giggling everytime I see Zack and Rebecca, then later see them switch colors with Adam and Aisha. GOOD TIMES! Hope every fan gets their copy.

Hi All I'm all the way from South Africa and have been the biggest fan of Power Rangers ever. I patiently await the shipment of this amazing product. I would like t be in the next season of Power Rangers but then I'll have to get to Los Angeles for the auditions when they happen again. I still have a degree to complete this side. For now I've created some martial arts videos and uploaded them onto YouTube in hopes of getting a role. Man this show really brings back memories, Shout Factory has made me happy once again. With this release along with Big Bad Beetleborgs and VR Troopers.All three shows were early birthday gifts to myself,which I bought last year.The only downside to these DVDs are, they're no extras. But I guess they did that so,they could put as many episodes.On the DVDs as possible. Otherwise than that any fan of Tokusatsu, or Power Rangers in general should buy this DVD box set. And while you're at it buy Big Bad Beetleborgs and VR Troopers too, you wont regret it!!!

I was amazed that the Green Ranger showed up so soon in the series, Iconic as ever, the original Mighty Morphin is just uncompilable. Even if you prefer a different series of Power Rangers, nothing quite beats the Japanese stock footage the earlier seasons cut in with the American actors. The main character who I had forgot about from my childhood, was Scorpina. A Evil but Cute Henchman for Rita Repulsa, who were both cut from the original Japanese footage, giving them completely wrong mouth movement. But for the MMPR's style, it is more a pro than a con. However, Saban did not have access to much of the props and costumes right away, so you'll not be seeing helmets off power rangers, or many scenes with the Unmorphed Teens and Goldar in the same shot. I initially thought this was some of the worst editing I had ever seen, being a freelance editor myself. But after learning about the Japanese stock footage, the editing starts becoming 'magical'.

If you watched this growing up like I did, it hits all the nostalgic points down to the grainy picture. If you didn't then you need to have an understanding of the appeal. It's cheap, cheesie, over the top, and the picture quality is top of the line....in 1988. The show really doesn't start to get good until the green ranger shows up.

This DVD will be cool! This coming from the mouth of a 21 year old 90's kid. The DVD contains the first 30 epidsodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 on 3 discs. I for one came into Power Rangers during the Zeo season. As such, I have never seen MMPR, so I'm very excited to recieve this product! Now, there is a box set with all 3 seasons of MMPR, though it's a bit more expensive than this. If you are a 90s kid like me, you will definately have to get this DVD. Garunteed to give you nostalgia or your money back! ;)

My family loves this show and it is one of the most requested after school movies we watch. There are aliens, dinosaurs, bad guys, and teenage ninjas, what's not to love. I love the bad dubbing and the over the top monsters and my kids love all the different rangers. Seriously though, I don't think anyone who didn't grow up with this show would actually like it.

wow its finally comin on dvd tha first season of mighty morphin power rangers. i can watchin it as a youngsta growing up. i don't remember episode for episode. think about it i wuz just 6. wen i see it again it will refresh my childhood memories. i remember seein tha commercial wen it came out back in tha summer of 95. i had tha toys. wen i wuz 9 i had tha blue ranger on my birthday cake. later on in life i found out he wuz gay. so that killed a childhood memory. awww those were days.

This item was well worth the wait. I had watched Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers when it was first on television. I hadn't seen it in years and thoroughly enjoyed watching it again. It has been beautifully remastered and the quality is excellent! I am going to collect the entire series of Power Rangers seasons. This was an excellent start.

At long last, it's here! After years of waiting, the first 30 episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are on DVD for the first time. No more scrounging around eBay for barely working VHS tapes or tireless searching on the web for contraband videos of questionable quality. For only $10, you can have 10 hours of Mighty Morphin goodness direct from the 90's. Here's hoping Saban is working on volume 2 right now.
