I got it a bit late but it’s what I wanted

I used this product on installing a vent. Great

Produce is simple and it was not broken or cracked

USED FOR: Connection between clothes dryer and pipe to exit home.PROS: Seems well built and a cleaver idea to easily disconnect the piping from the dryer.CONS: Any clothes dryers produce a lot of forced air; like having an F-16 blowing thru your ducting.The 4 small round "snaps" that snap into a shallow indentation inside the fixed piece do not make avery solid and secure connection. I can just imagine the mess if it disconnected while you werebusy doing something else. You'd have a flocked laundry room!Secondly; the air exiting any clothes dryer is about 100 degrees (F) (I checked it). I can't imagine that thisplastic product will tolerate those temperatures.BOTTOM LINE: Admittedly I did not install this. I didn't want to take the chance, so I used metal all the way.

As others have stated, the locking mechanism is terrible. One side locked better than the other, but still was barely strong enough to hold a few ounces of weight. I heated up the plastic and pushed the tabs out so the connection would be better, but it still wasn't anything I wanted to gamble a dryer vent on. On the receiving end of the dock, it appears that the groove was done by hand with a dremel or extremely poor machinery. The groove varied in size quite significantly. There is either a problem with quality control or the brains behind this company doesn't mind selling garbage.

The product was simple and easy to install and does exactly what it says it will do. Great product at a reasonable price
