Before I purchased this keyboard cover for my msi GE62 Apache Pro-001 (6th Gen, GTX 970M) I had an extended 3 year accident warranty. I used that accidental warranty half a dozen times for various reasons. Two of those times were because the keyboard (SteelSeries full-color backlight with Anti-Ghost keys + silver lining print) keys were wearing through allowing the backlighting to be visible through the keys. It just looked horrible with the paint gone for certain keys. The keyboard apparently was not made to withstand continuous use it seems. I paid a lot of money for this laptop and it was an investment. I wanted it to last for 8 hours of use a day for the next 8 years! After the warranty expired, I bought this keyboard cover in May 2017. After three years of use, you can see in the picture the keyboard cover saved my keyboard! I provided four pictures. (1) Shows the keyboard after three years of use that had holes in it. (2) The second picture shows my naked keyboard without it's cover after pulling off the used keyboard cover with holes. You can tell there is no wear to the keys or any damage. (3) The third picture shows the new keyboard cover (I bought in July 2020) without the backlighting on. (4) The fourth picture shows the new keyboard cover with the backlighting on. You can see the keyboard cover fits like a glove! I hope they continue to sell this keyboard cover for a long time! I would encourage anyone with an msi GE62 or equivalent Steel Series laptop to get this cover! It will save your keyboard!

On my 3rd keyboard for the MSI and it was losing the letters on the keys. The cover goes right over perfectly and stays in place. It feels very much like the original keyboard. The feel is a little more soft but not a problem typing like normal. Very good product and exactly what I needed. I didn't want to change out my keyboard again and this allow me to avoid doing that. It sits snug around the keyboard and I think it will help avoid spills getting into the laptop.

Update 11/2/21: I have been using this daily since purchase. I now have worn a hole through the letters E, and C and some of the others have just worn away. S,D,N,O,L most noticeably. Note I am NOT a home row key typer. Also since day one there has been a slight wavy in the material like it's ever so slightly too big for my keypad. I'm in a habit of smoothing it down regularly. Annoying but still protects so it's alright with me. I bought this keyboard cover because the common keys I use were wearing away. I bought stickers but those eventually wore off as well or were peeling up. I like how this cover keeps the keys protected and it fit perfectly without any concern of it coming up. The only issue I've had currently is a small pucker/uplift on the left side of the space bar. It just doesn't seem to want to stay flat but it's not like there is any issue with the material. It might be from the heat of the fans running contently, not sure. But I love this and would recommend for office or regular keyboard use. It's not crinkly sounding or sticky feeling, while it is rubbery. Sometimes my fingers don't life up enough and I type the wrong keys. Easy to remove and clean.

Fits MSI PE60 6QE Fits perfect. It could be better overall. The edge/lip around is short and some keys like ESC can feel like you're pulling back on it as if taking off the cover. Honestly all around too, but corners i hate the most for this including ESC key. Also F keys too along the top, you go to press a button and as you lift finger you feel like you're pulling off the cover too. Its just a bad design with short lip. And also the worst part.. NO the keys are not white and SEE-through like i thought. They are instead black, square keys and painted, white lettering. Although it mimics the keyboards normal design in terms of LOOKS... but it makes the laptop lose one KEY feature. And that is.. Keyboard LIGHT underneath each key and illuminating the lettering. So your lettering will not be illuminated anymore. Which is something i love about this laptop (plus the fan speed boost), but yeah its not as good as my all, see through, cover that lasted maybe 6 years now. Only bought new one to replace mine and since i cant find no more of mine that's exactly like it. Now i have to just live with this one. Its good enough even though im not a fan of these few small things. Especially at night, because i can barely see what im writing.

Purchased for my son's $1500.00 MSI GE62 APACHE PRO 233 15.6 LAPTOP. Keyboard skin fit perfect over keyboard area as if it was part of laptop. Do understand that this item ONLY covers the keys themselfs and not the entire laptop deck. It offers some protection to dust and liquids getting into laptop via key spaces but any significant spills it will only slow the flow I'm sure. Something better than nothing I guess. 5 stars is for fit and what protection it offers while a teenager with sticky, cheetos coated fingers uses laptop for gaming. Want 100% protection I'd suggest a extended drop and spill warranty extension from a third party.lol. Also manufacturer states on packaging that this item is a consumable and expect to replace in 4-6 months. (At least they are honest about this and give you some sort of heads up.) At same time should at least add that in thier Amazom description tho just to be fair to buyer. Have to wait and see how it holds out. Will try and leave a updated post in that time frame.

I bought this cover for my new MSi GE62 6QF because this laptop is kind of a fingerprint magnet and I wanted to keep it clean as long as I can. Usually, I would never use a cover like this, they looked a bit weird to type in, especially if you play a lot of games. Nonetheless, I decided to go ahead and buy this one and I have to say I'm impressed. It snapped right in, no extra material at all, it just fits perfectly. And the best part, it doesn't feel very rubbery at all, sometimes I even forget that I have a cover on the keyboard. As a side note, the leds from the keyboard get a nice effect after you put the cover on it.

These keyboard covers are excellent. I was afraid the material would be too stiff and interfere with the feel of the keys when I was typing, but that turned out not to be the case. The silicone material sort of drapes over the keys and lies perfectly, on them, like a soft, thin membrane. I don't even notice the cover is there. Now my keyboard is protected against spills and the dust that usually enters the computer between the keys over time, ultimately causing overheating problems. The big bonus for me is also that there is much a better contrast between the keyboard letters and the dark surface of the keys than there was on the computer's original uncovered keyboard, making it much easier to distinguish the key you mean to hit, especially when the room's lighting is dim.

doesnt fix at all, it nice to protect your keyboard but this is one of those thing you dont need and dont need to overthink on.

Fast delivery, and great fit to the keyboard. have purchased the clear and the black overlay and both are snug fits for my laptop.

Great stuff. Covers my GT72VR 7RE Dominator Pro keyboard perfectly... A little pricey but if it prevents dust and spills from damaging, then worth it.

It feels a little gummy on the finger tips; but that just takes some getting used to. It fit the keyboard very nicely.
