This is a great bar soap. I use this in place of baby body wash on my infant. My husband and I started out using Johnson's baby body wash on our baby but discovered it would dry his skin out badly which then would result in a fussy baby (probably because his skin was tight and itchy). I decided to try this soap because I wanted something that wouldn't be so drying on our little one and not be made with anything scary, The ingredients in this bar soap were simple enough for me to understand; saponified olive oil, water and sea salt. There are no artificial fragrances, no sodium lauryl sulfates (SLS), no phthalates, no parabens, and they don't test on animals which is a nice, warm fuzzy feeling. Soon as we started using this bar soap for our little one's bath time his skin became smoother and not so dried out. We have been using this soap exclusively for our baby's body (we use something else for shampoo but you could probably use this as shampoo if you needed to in a pinch) and now, four months later, we are no longer having to use a moisturizer on his skin (we were using organic extra virgin olive oil as a moisturizer when needed). This bar also lasts a very long time. We bathe our baby every other night with this bar soap and keep the bar in a travel container when not in use. We are still on our first bar for him. This soap also still creates a nice lather for washing although it doesn't contain SLS (SLS is responsible for a lot of body wash products to lather but it can be an irritant to the skin). This soap is also non GMO, which wasn't a big concern with us but I understand it is for others. I have nothing bad to say about this soap, we love it!

Like others, I had my husband cut the bar of soap in half. It is huge! The smell is a little strange, but you adjust. I just don't like how it leaves dark green green residue on my soap dish. Seems to work good.

Such a minimalist (in terms of ingredients) product that does the job well & does not give (after shower) drying feeling. It produces enough foam to lather your body (although not as much like body wash liquid). It has a faint scent (of olive oil), but not off putting, and the scent went away after a while. Also (I have eczema spots on feet) does not cause itch (like some other soap brands, after using).

I've been using this soap for about 5 years. I have extremely sensitive skin, and have had eczema when using irritating products. Even Unscented Dove, which was recommended first by my Derm, was irritating. This soap is wonderful. You wouldn't think by the (only) 3 ingredients that this soap would produce suds and act like any other bar soap, producing a squeaky clean feeling. There is no oily feel whatsoever, if you're worried about that. We use this soap in all baths and showers in my home. My kids have used it for 5 years and it's been great for them. The 8oz bar was a little big for them when they had smaller hands but I cut it in half for their bathtubs and they handled it fine after that. The 8oz bar lasts forever. At first my husband complained that there wasn't a strong fresh scent as he was used to with other soaps like Irish Spring, etc, but he soon got used to it. I've tried the lavender version of this and it's equally gentle with a nice subtle scent so try that if you need a scent. I stick with this Unscented version because I use this soap to wash fruits and vegetables. I keep a half bar at the kitchen sink. Even Fit and other vegetable washes have potentially harmful ingredients and this soap is so simple that I feel good about washing my vegetables with it. Just suds up your hands and then rub the item and rinse. It rinses completely clean. I hope this helps you. I really do love this soap and the price is great for such a wonderful product.
