I know reviewers have complained about this puzzle, but for the sale price it was great for my needs. I used it to insert family photos for the little one. It turned out great. Will the paint chip? Maybe, but toddlers are rough! All of the pieces fit great, no matter which way you turn them

A simple and adorable puzzle for littles who are new at puzzles. We also own a Fisher price puzzle that is similar in cost, but the pieces are too large to hold and the spots to place them in are very shallow, which doesn't make it very puzzle like.We own a nesting puzzle by Hape and my little loves it so much that I wanted to get her a second puzzle that was similar. I discovered this one from Hape and I am very satisfied with the quality of it - as I always am with Hape Products. Durable, well made, bright primary colors! The size of the shapes are perfect for little hands to grab and hold onto one handed.

Baby loves this. Before she was able to match shapes or had any interest in putting them back where they go, she enjoyed just holding the shapes and chewing them and pounding them on different surfaces. Now, at about a year old (6months later) she still goes right for them, walks them around, and smooshes them back into place to her best ability. Mom likes it too; it’s beautiful, simple and classic. The paint is chipping along the edges where she chews it but not as bad as it should for how much use it gets and I feel ok with it because I know it’s not toxic.

UPDATE: 4/11/2020I bought this puzzle back in 2016, my little one loved this toy , I have brought it out for my second child to play with now. The paint has worn down a bit but the toy has been well loved. My little always is always reaching for this puzzle first out of all the other toys.My specialty is in Early Childhood Education, I've been in the field for 8+ years. I am also a mother. These experiences have developed my ability to see high quality children's materials. As an educator and a parent I understand what will work for a young child's growing development and curiosity. My reviews are based on products durability, safety, and how it fosters a child developmentally.This toy was a huge success with my little one (6 months). He loves the big knobs on each of the puzzle pieces (perfect for little hands). I love how well the puzzle is made (great colors, have not worn off yet). Just what I was looking for in a first puzzle for baby.

I was unsure between giving this 3 or 4 stars. I really wanted to love this puzzle, it is so thoughtfully made: The shapes have the same color as the areas they belong in. The shapes are symmetrical so they can be placed in every direction. The handles to grab the forms also have the same shape as the form. Every shape only fits into the correct form (unless you are a creative 10 month old and simply flip over the form, then putting the handle wherever you want).So it is a very educational toy, the ideal first puzzle. Which is why I decided to go with 4 stars, not 3. The reason I'm not happy with this toy, is that it is not the quality I'd expect from hape. The color started chipping off within days after it arrived, while it was still only very gently used (actually the first chip happened immediately upon first use, on the red circle). After a couple months and our daughter now crawling and throwing things all over the place, these chips became big streaks of missing color. I try to take it from her to avoid her teething on it since it makes me nervous how eaily the color chips off - but it can't be avoided 100 % and the wood has some deep indents where her teeth were secretly active.Another small thing that bothers me is that the triangle has an orange handle but the shape is yellow. That can be confusing when introducing colors - I'm never sure what to say.Overall, I'd still recommend it - it is a great developmental toy and such a perfect first puzzle. But the low quality is really annoying.

I love love love this puzzle. It’s cute and functional for toddlers. It’s not too complex and my daughter plays with it often. All the pieces fit and go into their spots well.

My 21 month old son loves this puzzle! It’s a great way to teach colors and shapes, and a good entry level puzzle that seems to have sparked his interest in his other more difficult puzzles. Glad I found this, highly recommend!

8 month old loves this puzzle. She picks up the pieces and then tries to "slap" them back into place. They are a good size for small hands.Update - now that my daughter is 18 months, she still loves this puzzle. She can put the shapes back into the spots where they belong but it's not so easy that she gets bored. It's great for learning recognition of colors and shapes - sometimes I ask for the "yellow" piece and sometimes the "circle". She has fun finding the right piece and putting it in it's place. It's a simple but fun toy, and quality construction.

Sehr gute Qualität. Mein entwicklungsverzoegerter Sohn tut sich sehr schwer mit Formenpuzzles. Doch da dieses so einfach gehalten ist, schafft selbst er es. Auch farblich sehr ansprechend!

Le compré este puzzle a mi bebe de un año porque me parecía perfecto como primer puzzle y no me ha equivocado. Desde el primer momento le ha llamado mucho la atención, las piezas son grandes de fácil sujeción y además es perfecto para que mas adelante aprenda los colores y las formas. La calidad es buena, madera pulida con esquinas redondeadas y colores vivos. Muy recomendable!

Ce jeu d'encastrement 4 formes géométriques de 4 couleurs différentes est parfait pour un tout petit . Ma puce de 14 mois l'apprécie beaucoup et commence à bien se débrouiller car les pièces sont faciles à attraper avec une très bonne prise en main . Les couleurs sont très jolies et la quaité au top ! Je recommande comme un basique à avoir absolument !

Boring for my kid

LO first puzzle at 11 months was a Christmas present. She is slowly learning each place has a spot however doesn't know which spot goes in what place. Will take some practice. Great for LO motor skills. Recommend to all moms. Colourful and made from wood. My LO hasn't really tried to chew on it easy for her to hold and carry from hand to board
