We have a Sunflame from the 80s that was top quality. This current one was to replace a locally assembled three burner that had very poor uniformity in the flame spread. So bought this Sunflame after are very positive experience with that old Sunflame 2 burner stove.That old two burner stove has big and small nozzles for the big and small burners respectively to provide uniform heat. But this stove seems to have same nozzles for all three burners! The small burner intendedfor simmering is the hottest with the biggest flame while as the biggest burner is the least hotwith the smallest flame. So we are limited to the smallest burner for our regular cooking and simmering is just not possible but thank the heavens we have a couple of the 500 watts mini electric stoves that are great for simmering.We would have preferred our old cheap locally made stove unfortunately we gave it off to our partimehelp as soon as this stove arrived. Great expectations nipped in the bud and lesson learned is old brands are no longer what they used to be

After 1 day of use i observed that on and off design is faulty. Clockwise the off is at 12 and to start the gas i have to move the knob from 12 to 9 and to slow the gas i have to go down further to 6. To on and slow the gas is very difficult. The design should be 3 to 12 and 12 to 9.
