This is my 5th Sharp air purifier I have in my house. They help keep the air fresh and clean. I have two with humidification and three that are w/o humidification. These work great and are quiet. I am sensitive to seasonal allergies and these really help!

I bought this for pollen and dog smell. It works really well especially for dogs smell, since we started to use this, we don’t have any smell problems. It took time to paring with Alexa and my phone (idk why I can’t use my gmail address but my husband’s can) but easy to set up. It looks so clean and stylish, also super quiet! When I used manicure, it reacted immediately and clean up the air and remove the smell. It was on sale so I paid $180 ish, it is worth for money, actually it was the cheapest with Alexa function and also sharp is well known brand of air products. We are really satisfied with this product.

I think they should not say this item can connect to WiFi because the set up process is impossible. The air filter is great and the ions definitely make a difference. The buttons are a bit confusing and the app is absolutely awful. I thought people were being dramatic, they weren’t.

The soft blue air-quality indicator light is very delicate and pleasant. The cleaning power of this machine is nothing short of amazing. This particular model has Sharp's highest PCI rating at 25,000 (versus 7,000 for their entry-level models). Walking into the room feels deeply fresh, almost like being near a waterfall or in the mountains. It tackles everything effortlessly—cooking odors vanish, and if there is outdoor smoke or dust, you can literally watch the machine detect and clear the particles on the digital readout. It is powerful enough to handle large areas, easily purifying the air across multiple rooms. With four cleaning stages and seven different modes, it is highly customizable for any situation. What really surprised me is how quiet it is. When set to Auto, Pollen, or Sleep mode, the machine is almost completely silent. It is perfect for a bedroom or home office where you do not want any distracting background noise. But when you want a quick clean, it sends a blast of air out of both the front and back very effectively. One of the biggest selling points for me is the filter life. While other brands require you to buy expensive replacements every few months, the FX-J80's filters are cleanable and built to last for years. This significantly extends the service life and makes the purifier's total lifetime cost of ownership an incredible value. If you are on the fence about purchasing this unit, don't hesitate. I never paid much attention for the need for air purifier until the smoke from all the fire in the west where my family and I live. They are well worth paying premium for great technology that will last: I am especially enthusiastic about the SHARP Plasmacluster technology that generates ions that actively eliminates microscopic pollutants. And the double filter system using HEPA filter gives me sense of peace of mind. For example, according to PC magazine, NASA study found that HEPA filters can capture almost 100 percent of particles as small as 0.01 micrometers (or 10 nanometers), well exceeding the standard. To put that in perspective, COVID-19 is about 60 to 140 nanometers in diameter. It’s easy to set up and get going. I am sensitive to noise and this product is super quiet which I love. The app is convenient to use and also love using Alexa to change settings. The 2 air purifiers I bought have been magnificent for me and family, and have been recommending my colleagues to buy SHARP air purifier FXJ80U.

Had to return the product. Purchased it brand new yet the air quality sensor is defective. Every morning when I turn it on it would sense extremely polluted air even though the air is perfectly clean. And yet later when I’m cooking food and the room smells like food it detects nothing.
