Very Nice Fountain Pump!Had to replace the pump in our 3-tier concrete fountain. Original metal 280 gph U.S. made CalPump lasted over 10 years!Be sure to check your application because this pump is relatively large with a tall(er) form factor!This replacement is rated at 550 gph. I figured if it did 50% I would still be good. Its quiet and pumps well. Lots of suction and has good head pressure, easily doing the 4 feet or so for the fountain.Has a generous (measured) 6 ft Cord and 6 ft hose which was not mentioned in the ad copy or reviews unless I completely missed it.All in all seems like a good item, Gave it 5-stars hoping it will last many years as the labor needed to disassemble the concrete tiers/bowls and replace it was considerable! Spent a few afternoons.

GOOD I'M VERY HAPPY

I purchased this pump to replace a older worn-out metal cased 500 GPH fountain pump that operated in my two-tier backyard fountain. It was easy to replace. The pump came with several tubing connectors so that made it convenient out of the box. It also came with rubber suction feet and two extras. That is a nice feature. In addition, two tubing suction feet clips were also included. The electrical cord was of sufficient length and heavy duty. This pump easily pumps water upward through the fountain to a height of 62 inches. One drawback is that the flow rate is not adjustable although the instructions included with it state that it can at the control valve but there is no diagram depicting its location or use. All in all the pump works as advertised.

July 2024: This is a powerful little pump, almost too powerful for my small water feature. I think it would be great in a small pond. So far no issues. I will update if I experience any, otherwise consider me a happy shopper.

This baby works, nice quality hose and plug. Does the job. If you run it dry, you might have to blow back through the hose, then it's fine.

Bought the pump for our small pond August 13 and it quit working last week!It should have last longer than 7 weeks!

The pump information says it won’t go high enough

I purchased this pump so that I could take a shower while our sewer pipe was being repaired for two weeks. I attached the hose to the pump, put the pump into the tub. The suction cups on the bottom of the pump kept it in place in the tub. Guided the other end of the hose out the window. Plugged the electic cord into the wall outlet and it instantly started pumping the water out of the tub. Perfect. The speed of the pump was great. It pumps down to 1/4 inch of water so when the water got to almost 1/4 inch then I pulled the plug out of the wall and it stops. Instructions say never to let it run dry. Simple and easy to use. Would recommend.
