what / how is the best way to match this product to my skin color?

The BB Cream actually does a fairly amazing job of blending to your skin tone and is very sheer. I use the medium tint in winter and the medium/deep in summer when I have a tan or when I want to give myself the appearance of a bit of a tan. When in doubt, I would suggest going slightly darker than slightly lighter. Also, give the BB Cream a few minutes to "set" before you judge what it's doing -- it always looks amazing from about 5 minutes after I apply it through the rest of the day, regardless of what I think while I'm applying it. (BTW, I'm an olive-y skinned white person.)

What's the difference between bb and cc?

CC cream typically has more coverage,and is better for oily skin,BB cream is a tinted moisturizer with light coverage that's more hydrating for dry skin!

does the light one have a warm tone?

I am cool tone and have used the light shade for years. it looks a bit warm at first but in a few minutes it looks neutral. I have very light skin. It looks very natural and is buildable. Never had a sunburn in years!

Does this melt off or run when you sweat?

I'm wondering if the formula has changed in 7 years, because it absolutely sweats off.
