Whats the difference between the pro and the normal?

The main difference is that the Pro can sanitize your phone in half the time as the regular one. As for the other complaints about it being difficult to open and close, you do have to be careful but, compared to older models that slid around on the counter, this one sticks down so you can use appropriate pressure to grip the top and open. I do wish it had some something to prevent it from slamming close, you get used to it. Just be careful.

Why is Indicator light is now red

I have noticed that when we try to force the lid closed, try to unplug when it was curating, or when we fill it with way to much stuff that the light switches red. I fix the problem, but sometimes unplugging and plugging back does the trick. If nothing of this works it is simply not working (defective).

Silly question, but will a tamagotchi on fit in this one?

Not silly at all. I may not know how small the Tamagotchi is, last time I owned one was 20 years ago, but I know I can fit my Samsung earpieces charging box, small things like pens, something not higher than like 4" or so? Hope this helps.
