Purchased this so our kid could see old movies without major screen time. Great product, great price, love that it can support a bunch of formats (like CD, USB, etc). It's a pretty big size for most portable DVD players which we're happy with. Good buttons, product isn't too heavy, and works easily and beautifully. Very happy. Great for the car or even just for when you don't need your kid on a real screen.

Works great and is easy to use. Picked this one because it came with the holder for hanging it on the seat so the kids can’t mess with it. I rated four stars instead of five because it doesn’t hold a charge for more than two hours. It advertises five hours of use between charges. We got a car charger adapter and can still use it but i wish it lasted for two full movies.

This is a great portable DVD player! It’s really easy to operate! The original device gave me a No Disc/Disc Unreadable error message with multiple brand new DVDs. There are easy to follow instructions for trouble shooting but the device still gave the error message. I went through Sunpin’s customer service and they were quick to respond. After answering a few questions by email and attaching a short video, they were quick to respond again and gave me the green light to return for a replacement. I received the replacement the next day and it works great!

First of all the reason we bought this was to bring along camping so my nephew could watch his dvds! We didn’t want to bring the iPad incase he dropped it or got it wet or lost it, we wanted something less expensive! We didn’t use until our camping trip last weekend and it was a life saver!! A 2 year old doesn’t have much of an attention span for much so he would get restless easily especially outdoors where there wasn’t much for him to do... on one of his tired fussy moments (crying of course) I put his favorite cars movie on and it occupied him till he fell asleep!! Next day same thing once he got tired we popped in his movie and it put him to sleep. Did that 3 days in a row and if it wasn’t for this DVD player we probably would’ve left and went home early! The quality is nice, sound is loud enough for him to hear at a good distance, picture quality looked ok although I was only peeking at it here and there but seemed pretty decent! Price was fair and comparable to others we’ve shopped around for! 1 full charge last the 2 days of him watching here and there, we charged it fully again for the 3rd day of camping and for the ride home! Now that we’re home he brings it to me when he’s tired as if he’s saying I want to sleep please put my movie on... so for what it’s worth this DVD player has made my life a lil less stressful! We’re all outdoors family and always on the go, this will come with us on every outing from now on. I’m hoping it last awhile or at least till he’s out of this cartoon movie phase which could be a year or two!! I would recommend this as a good DVD player, I don’t honestly mind him watching movies as often as he would like, it’s better than playing on iPads or devices as I’ve seen other kids do... I haven’t looked into what kind of warranty there is but hopefully it’s a good one...

Here is a polished version of your review: I was really excited about this DVD player, and when it worked, I loved it. The first unit worked for the first three DVDs we watched, but after that it stopped reading discs. they sent me a replacement, but unfortunately the replacement had the same problem. In fact, it would not read a single DVD right out of the box, even though I tried multiple brand-new DVDs. I purchased this player for travel on April 8. Shortly after, my dad passed away, and we had a 5-hour drive to attend services. The original player worked on the drive there, which was a huge help with my 3-year-old. The replacement was shipped to my house, so we did not have it for the trip home. Luckily, my daughter slept for most of the drive, and we spent the rest of the time listening to songs together. I recently opened the replacement unit and discovered it would not read any DVDs at all. When I went to return it, I found that my return window had already closed. I am very disappointed because I really liked this product when it worked, but two units having the same issue is frustrating. I would appreciate receiving a replacement DVD player that actually works. If the player could consistently read DVDs as intended, I would be very happy with it.

UPDATE!! I guess the person that sells these, read my reveiw. I was offered a refund and took it. For that my opinion went up 3fold. And on top of that I was wished a good day. !!! I got this player today. I familiarized myself on how it works then I used it. 1st off I noticed the Mickey mouse car charger. I had a charger like this and used it one time before it fell apart. This charger is just like that one. Plastic piece of crap. 2nd thing I noticed is the volume. It does not go up very loud. I got this for my plane trip. I do not think it will work, the plane engine is loud and this will not go up past lvl 20. So volume is a real problem. One positive feature is screen size, I do like that. As far as overall, I think I may return this player. I have until August to do so. I will take it on my vacation. If it performs for me and I can listen to music on the plane, then I will revise this. If not then know I did return it. I think this could be a lot better product for what it cost. Another thing is the battery is not replaceable. It is internal. It is rechargeable but not replaceable. I do not like this either. I love the color purple and the color is fine. It will match everything I'm bringing. The cons of this item outweighs the pros. In my opinin. The controls are easy to use. I did not use the remote yet but the controls on the player are easy to use.

We got this for our 1 year old for our beach vacation that we are getting ready to leave for this week. It's a little over 4 hour drive and we knew that if we didn't have something to keep him occupied, he was going to be so fussy and miserable before we even got half way down there! He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so I figured if we got him the DVD player and a few Mickey movies he would be ok for the most part! We charged it up and put one of his movies in it the day it arrived, just to let him see it, and he was amazed by it so I am very confident that long car rides or just carrides in general are going to be a breeze now that we have this! The price point is amazing, and the fact that the case to attach it to the headrest is included was a major bonus! It's also very light weight, screen and sound quality are amazing, and the remote is small and very simple to use! The only flaw I have found with it is that you have to take the whole thing out of the case and flip the screen up to be able to change the movies! It would be much easier if they could be made where you can insert the DVD from the top, so that all you had to do was open the very top of the case, insert the DVD, close the case back and press play on the remote and also if you could offer a little bit longer car charger cable! Those 2 things would be the only things I would say needed improving, but besides that, it's a great little DVD player, especially for kids!

Works flawlessly. Minus half a star because the sound is not quite loud enough. And minus a half star because the seller refuses to honour the 'Free Headphones' coupon in the package. We use ours in the kitchen. Pictured is the player on a custom wood counter stand with mounted Logitech speaker plugged into the player's 3.5mm headphone jack. That external speaker is plenty loud enough for the intended use. We don't use it on battery power so can't comment on that. It would be nice if the infrared remote receiver was on both the front and back of the unit because as seen in the photo we use ours with the screen turned 180 degrees to the back. For us its awkward to reach around and use the buttons and the remote won't work at all with the way we've oriented the unit. I guess I have lots of quibbles but this is the third brand we've tried and the first that actually plays all DVDs consistently.
