Work great.

My window could not stay open. I replaced load balancers. Now with these new load balancers the window opens and closes super easily and stays open in place. It’s like new window! Installation was not difficult after watching some instructions on youtube.

Needed these to fix my old double hung tilt replacement window balances. I wasn't sure of the diameter (it measured a little under 1/2") so I ordered the 3/8". They are smaller than the originals, so they must have been 1/2 or 5/8 but the ends are the same so no big deal. The color of the ferrule is probably most important. They fit just fine, and the windows stay up after you lift them now, instead of having to use a prop rod. This was a great deal compared to other sellers if you order several. A tip for installation that made it much easier was to lift the window sash up to about the retracted height of the balance, clip the bottom in, and then to tension it just turn the tube a couple of times and screw it in at the top. No balance tool needed. Each window only took about 5 minutes to do both balances for the lower sash. The upper sash would probably be a little more difficult, but same idea.

WORK UNTIL THEY BREAK THEN THE SELLER DOESN'T RESPOND OR SEND REPLACEMENTS. A TOTAL RIP OFF, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCUMBAGS!

Expect to preload the spring by turning it clockwise. the weight of the window will determine how many turns to make it balance. Ideally you want it to lift with little effort and not fall when open.

Worked for my older windows. Easy to install. Looks good and working just fine. Fast sending.

Both balances arrived missing key pieces.... those two little horizontal metal posts at the bottom that allow the spiral to be twisted, and enable it to be locked into the pivot shoe. Utterly useless without them..... and totally contrary to the product photo. Hoping to return. (Was unable to rate this zero stars.)
