I think Tara Jayne has a great book. She has been involved in 4H for many years, and through this she has studied showmanship extensively. She has examined and effectively shares showmanship information in all ways, fully detailing how to position a goat in the ring, how to position the person showing the animal, what to wear when you show (and what not to wear). She writes about how to approach a judge, how to answer a judge’s questions and so much more. What I find fascinating is that this work is not only applicable for showmanship, but for life lessons. I think everyone at any age can find value in reading this book. As it has been written by someone who is younger, I think it’s inspirational. So many young people today have no understanding of how to be successful. Tara shares solid facts that if you follow her advice you will win. Although this is directed toward success in the ring for goat showmanship, the practical advice “if you do the work you will win,” applies in any field. Congratulations Tara. I think you have a winner here!

This is my daughter's first year raising a goat for her 4H project. I was looking for a book that will give you a step by step how to train your goat. I highly recommend this book because it has proven for us to be very helpful in the training process. It's not easy, but reading the book helps you realize the work you have to but into your project. Excellent book!
