Great product for the price
Firstly, I would have to say that the ideal user for this product is someone who spends a lot of time either playing video games or doing work on a screen. I personally use this product to play xbox one, but it would also be great for everyday work or even a dual monitor setup. If you play video games casually or don't spend very much time on a computer, then this monitor might not be worth the purchase. Overall this really is a fantastic product for the price. Now I'll talk about a few positives. The colors and picture are fantastic, and the fact that it has external speakers is a big plus because a lot of monitors don't. I've never had any significant problems with this monitor after owning it for a bit over a year and half. The frame rate and the quality of picture are surprisingly high. I used to have a problem playing on big television screens because there would be a delay in my reaction time that gave me a disadvantage when playing online. With this BenQ, that problem goes away entirely. I would strongly recommend this monitor to you if you are wanting to use this for gaming or for work on a computer. Next, a few small negatives. The first negative is the speakers, which was actually one of my positives as well. It's true that it is a plus that this monitor actually has speakers, however they are just a little bit quiet. If you want to use this monitor for gaming and require extremely high quality sound, these speakers might not provide the quality of sound and volume capacity that you are looking for. If you fall into this category and are purchasing this monitor, I would recommend also getting some sort of gaming headset to route your game sound to, which plenty of gamers already own anyway. This product would pretty much be the perfect monitor if it was capable of producing some louder and higher quality sound. One other small thing that would make this better is moving the menu buttons to an easier to locate area or including a remote with the monitor. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this monitor's impressive performance given the fact that its price is significantly lower than many other competitors or even other BenQ models. If you're looking for a cheap monitor that can perform all of the tasks that you need it to do with no major issues, then look no further. You won't regret it!

and I have loved it since the moment that I cut open the ...
Austin Cunningham’s insight on the BenQ GL2460HM After reading my review of the gaming monitor, I believe that every video game player that is also looking for a fast, reliable, and high definition monitor will lean towards this monitor. Now everyone has computers so just owning one monitor does now make me an expert. I had two ACER monitors before this and now that I have this gaming monitor for my middle screen, it has allowed me to realize the criteria that are important for my new monitor. My gaming monitor criteria • Eye-Stress: This is important because I frequently spend more than 8 hours on a computer at a time. • Brand Quality/Recognition: This is important as there a lot of computer monitors out there, and having one with good quality makes me feel secure. • Compatibility: The monitor being able to plug into most computers rather than needing adapters. • Speed: Less of a student need and more of a gamer need. Still important to separate monitors from one another. The Ban GL 2460HM gaming monitor comes with blue light reduction allowing gamers or students to glare at the screen without damage to their eyes, and students to be able to at least keep the stress off their eyes as they write their papers for long periods of time. Which satisfies my eye stress criteria as beforehand I myself used glasses that reduced stress and blue light. The BenQ name is also synonymous with gamers as the top choice. These are the monitors that they use at professional gaming events where millions of dollars are on the line. The brand recognition has been great as all my friends online or in person when I told them about the BenQ gaming monitor they all knew right away that I had chosen a quality choice which in electronics can always be one perilous click away from purchasing a bad device. After owning the other monitors I know that having the option of multiple connections is paramount to gamers who have multiple monitors. I also at any point may find that my graphics card may be not up to par and want to buy another. This one including HDMI, VGA, and DVI has insured it will work with almost every graphics card I could add to my computer. I chose this monitor was the BenQ TN technology that is leading the way in refresh rates for gaming monitors. With TN coming in at a blazing 1 mili-second refresh rate allowing myself and other gamers that chose this monitor to have a slight edge on all others in first person shooting video games where everything happens in mili-seconds. The only negative about the monitor which I knew about before, was that it does not have 4k resolution only the now standard 1080P. Now BenQ does make 4k models, and amazon has them starting around $580. Since this monitor was only $148, a huge $400 difference puts a huge advantage for the BenQ GL2460HM. Other than the one negative aspect everything has lived up to, and exceeded my expectations for what a gaming computer monitor could possibly be. BenQ did such good things with this monitor I do not believe I will own anything other than one of the best computer monitors on the market now.

Good picture, price, controls. No problems after 8 months of use.
I was looking for a budget 24" computer screen for watching movies and playing a few games. From my research on Amazon, this BenQ was one of the cheapest price wise. There were a few that were within this BenQ's price range, but what sealed the deal for me were the reviews for them all. All other models had quiet a few 1/2 star reviews of serious problems with the monitor like extensive light bleeding and dead pixels. BenQ on the other hand had very few, and most were not significant problems. Knowing BenQ's history with gaming displays, this was the easy choice. I first hesitated because I really wanted a flush front display like some other models I was checking. Then I came to my sense's, do I want a screen that looks prettier with many problems, or this BenQ that showed to be less problematic? I made the practical choice and went with BenQ. I wasn't disappointed, I have had no problems with the display at all. I've had this monitor for 8 months and it's solid. I enjoy the placement of the control buttons, because it gives you a natural grip when pressing them. Use the controls are a bit slow (you need 1/2 sec delay between each button press) but that is the case with every monitor. It's a monitor without any processing power, things take time. It has good options for 1 button setups (to change output for example), so that delay is not a big deal. In the end remember you're getting just about the cheapest 24" screen on the market, don't expect the latest HD action games compare to your $400 screen. For the price, this screen has no short comings.

Amazing monitor, but speakers a lacking and no displayport.
I am a little conflicted on adding the 5th star and here is why. The speakers are simply terrible. I now have two of these monitors and on both with volume at full using both HDMI and Line-in they are barely audible. Volume is max in PC settings and on monitor's menu setting. A lot of people have this issue and I have it with both of them I own. That said, there is a reason I have 2 of them now. I never cared if the speakers worked or not as I have external speakers and use a headset a lot of my time as well. The color quality on both has been perfect, side by side they look exactly the same, very little bleed from the backlights compared to most monitors I've owned, and the size, quality, and price are too good of a combination. I have had one of these for almost a year now, and have had no problems with dead pixels, the new one is fine out of the box so far. This monitor does everything I needed it to and the 24" screen is the perfect size for my taste and desk. I will be ordering a 3rd monitor for nvidia surround gaming. The reason I finally settled on 4 stars, regardless of the fact I didn't need speakers or expect them to be great, I did pay for them and if they are a listed feature they should at least function to a usable degree. However, what really knocked the star off is it's lack of displayport. Sure I could get an active adapter or something and this in no way limits what the monitor is capable of from it's advertised specs, but I feel it does limit the future readiness of this monitor. If you never plan to use more than 2 monitors, don't mind buying an active adapter, and don't plan to ever use the speakers, this monitor would be great monitor for you. However, for the cost of an active adapter, you can step up to a monitor with built in DisplayPort. If you are unlike me and this is the first monitor you will be purchasing and not just getting a matching one, I would recommend doing so if displayport will benefit you anytime in the near future.

11 years and going strong
As of March 2026, some of the backlights are starting to struggle with turning on when i first turn on the monitor. I came here to see when I purchased the monitor, maybe it was still under warranty and I can get a new one! I purchased it in January 2015. 11 years of heavy daily use, and it's starting to show a bit of age. If I turn it off and turn it back on again everything works properly. Anyway, point is I came here annoyed and I'm leaving impressed, this monitor has been great for me. When whatever this problem is eventually becomes terminal, I'll be looking for another BenQ monitor to replace it.

Eye love it.
This monitor has changed the way I game and look at other TVs for that matter. The screen is crisp and clean. It's not a humongous sized monitor for my small desk of 50 inches either which I like. I play console so after researching about ms time and Hz I realized that I didn't need to go overboard with a 1ms and 120hz because my console could only do 60. Eventually, I will be getting into PC so I wanted something that was still good quality and I think this was a perfect match. As said before the screen is beautiful with the best feature in the world for someone who wants to stare at the screen for extended hours the flicker-free backlight. That has honestly saved my eyes to the point where I don't even notice the room is dark because my eyes are somehow pain-free. The power saving feature also comes in the clutch because I do leave my monitor on from time to time and it shuts off shortly. The audio is trash but that's expected with these kinds of monitors I just hooked up an old sound system and now I can stream movies all day long. I am thinking about buying another one once I get a pc!

Great monitor for a great price!
So I've had this monitor for a week now. I use it mostly for gaming and occasionally watching TV or Movies. First off, the monitor is a nice size, the stand is solid (unlike some at this price range), and took about 15 seconds to put all together. After setting it up and plugging it in, you will notice right away that the colors are off and some of you may know that BenQ is known for not having good calibration on their monitors out of the box. The picture is crystal clear and the monitor had NO dead pixels on arrival which is a huge plus. The menu takes some time to get use to navigating but the buttons are in a decent spot in my opinion. After a decent amount of time messing with the presets and settings, I got the colors to look pretty close to where I want them and I must say the picture overall is beautiful. Gaming is fast with the 2ms response time. The only cons about this monitor is that the settings don't give you enough options (at least for me) to calibrate so you might have to go into your GFX card control panel to mess with the colors as well to calibrate it properly. Also, the speakers are WEAK but I did not buy this monitor for the built in speakers and that was to be expected. After all is said and done, I am extremely happy with my purchase and it is a wonderful gaming monitor. Highly recommended!

The best screen i've had yet !
This here deserves a long and detailed review ! Where do i begin.. this monitor here is a piece of art. I've owned many monitors before (some of them were very good and popular brands) but this one here is something else. Its a 24-inch monitor with a 1920x1080 resolution, a 60hz refresh rate and a 16mm slim bezel, good for multiple displays (very practical for me as a computer engineer). It also comes with the lastest technologies like RevolutionEyes, ZeroFlicker to eliminates flickering (and a 2ms response time !). Its also equipped with low blue light technology to reduce blue light for a more eye-friendly and enhanced viewing experience (4 levels). Whether play games, study/read or watch some movies this monitor is all you need, and it comes with integrated very good quality speakers. It has a DVI, a D-sub/VGA and an HDMI port (only comes with the D-sub connector). And finally, its good for the pocket with improved eco mode which reduces power consumption by 37% to 44%. You cannot go wrong with this monitor for that price ! Beautiful viewing experience ! I would recommend it and wouldn't hesitate buying it again. If this review helped you or answered some of your questions, please give it a thumbs up so i can know for future reviews. Thank you !

Excelente Monitor!
Saludos.

Similar to the GL2450!
**EDIT** I bought a second one of these recently for a triple monitor setup, it's one of the better bang for the buck monitors I've used out of LG, Asus, Acer and BenQ which is why I went for it on sale ($175) instead of waiting for one of BenQ's 144hz panels to come in stock on Amazon. ---- I purchased this monitor after being thrilled with my previous BenQ monitor (GL2450), this monitor is practically the same except it differs in terms of the buttons, monitor menu's and the stand and bezel aren't as thick which makes this monitor weigh less than it's predecessor. Overall the monitor is exactly what you would expect from this price range, it's colors are decent, it seems to favor blue spectrum's and with the low blue light mode on it causes me to have noticeably less eye fatigue while gaming for extended periods of time. I haven't noticed any ghosting in video games, I've yet to smell anything that can commonly be caused by lower end plastic manufacturing and overall this monitor operates as expected under all circumstances. There is no height adjust, you cannot rotate the monitor and it comes with a VGA cable, if you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will answer them ASAP! :) - I would highly recommend this to any gamer looking for a good monitor, I've only had it for a few weeks and I expect this to last for years to come and am considering purchasing a second one so that I can run three monitors.
