Note - I have never even tried to use this cable fore data and as a tech who is uncertain of the wiring in this thing I don't recommend using it for that. I bought this for one purpose - charging my phone in the car and hanging my Bluetooth headset off of the other connection when it needs a charge. This works out great. They never get separated that way, I still have the other port on my charger available if a friend or relative is with me, there's less wires in my vehicle and it's all in reach. If I were to change one thing about it - because I'm a tech and I think this way - I would make one connector red with only the power pins connected and the other one black or some other color to designate this one could be used for data. I would NOT make it with both heads even capable of doing data. Guess I could draw up the plans for that and send them to China to have custom ones made for myself and sell them that way to everyone else, just too much hassle. I'm a tech, I could build one for myself, same story, this is cheaper and easier and as long as I keep that in mind it's fine.

WORKED GREAT AFTER I FOUND A COMPATIBLE WATT USB PLUG CHARGER, NOW THAT I KNOW,, I'D BUY AGAIN.

It is nice to be able to charge an HTC or Samsung cell phone and while using the same USB port, be additionally charging your bluetooth headset since most are charged thru a Micro USB port. I use this on a 110 volt plug that has USB jacks as well as on the computer to keep two items "topped off" on just one port. Of course you could also be charging two seperate cell phones at the same time as well. It is well put together, a good length, and well packaged to avoid any type of damage in transit.

Yup, I read and IGNORED some of the other reviews.. to find out for myself that it definitely will not charge my Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 tablet at the same time. What it was decent for was adding a little lightning adapter to one side so that I have one cord that can charge my Android and Apple products with.. but only one at a time ;-)

I purchased this to replace my original cord. It's much better than original. Charges faster and better quality. I purchased another one for travel.

Works great, built well. I use this cord for charging my heated gloves in the winter. I can charge both at once and it works wonderfully.

[Update June 2015] I'm increasing the stars to 4 (from 3) as although the tails are still most definitely too short, the cable worked amazingly well whilst trekking through Sri Lanka allowing me to charge both tablet and phone from one USB socket. I placed the phone on top of the tablet overnight and in the morning both were fully charged. The tails were long enough for this as long as I didn't forget and try and pick up still-attached phone! [End Update] This cable certainly allows charging of two devices, simultaneously if so desired. The best thing is that you don't have to constantly unplug one item (like the docking station for my Nexus 7) just to charge my phone. As someone else pointed out this cable only works if the two items are more or less on top of each other as the split cable 'tails' are far too short to use seriously. It got so annoying that I gave up an went back to two individual chargers plugged into the same 13A socket. So the cable is 'OK' inasmuch that it works but why, oh why, did they make the tails so short?

It's okay and a clever idea, utility it does only charge at half the rate of a single Cable!

Its great, it works.. and the cable doesn't appear to be the really cheap stuff. If i had to gripe about something i would say that the tails for the micro USB are too short. if you have one end going into a table stand-charger then this only leaves a tiny amount available for the other device. apart from that its all good :)

Good but not sure how long it will last
