Bought this for my parents to put in their gazebo. The wiring from the solar panel to the light fixture is plenty long to reach where you need it to go. The light is bright and lasts as long as you need it to. It is light weight so it can be hung easily from almost anywhere.

This was very easy to install, and provides about the same amount of light as a 40W warm bulb. I bought this light specifically because it is advertised for outdoor use, and has a hood over the light bulb. We could use it inside of our chicken coop without worrying about chicken poo or dust ruining it, plus we wouldn't have to worry about it catching fire because it is solar powered. The cable provided had plenty of length for us to mount it wherever we wanted, and the zip-ties were helpful. We've been using it for a couple of months and have moved it a few times to find the perfect mounting place. We ended up mounting it just outside of the coop in the run to give the birds a little extra light in the early morning hours so they can see enough to come down from their roosting area and make it to a nesting box safely, but not enough light to disturb the other birds who would rather sleep in.The entire device has been outside and uncovered during many rainy and windy Florida days without any issues.The remote control really doesn't work for our needs, though. I was hoping that it could be programmed to turn the light on after a certain amount of time, i.e. so we wouldn't have to get out of bed early to turn on the light, but it doesn't quite work that way. Or, at least it didn't when we tried to use that feature. The remote only works if it is completely dark outside, and cannot be programmed during daylight hours. So we just physically turn the light on and off using the switch on the back of the solar panel. The switch is great, though, because we don't have to go inside the coop to turn the light on or off.Overall, we're very happy with this item!

The only good thing about this thing is easy to install. The brightness is just soso but consider its solar light, I will accept it. One important note. I was installed this in the afternoon in day night but found the remote doesn't work after installation. i doubled check battery and everything, still doesn't work. I use a cloth to cover the panel to pretend its at night, still doesn't work. I almost want to pack it up and return it. I wait until almost dark ( in May around 7pm), then it works. When you press the "ON", its automatic go on when it sense dark enough. the sensor is with the solar panel. Pls test it when its dark. other than that all good.

I purchased 2 of these on 7/11/20 to hang over my patio table. They are very bright, but can be dimmed, which is great. They’ve been installed for 3 weeks and have been working as expected. I really like that there is a remote to turn them on and off. My other solar lights can only be turned on or off at the charger, which is not convenient so I just leave them on all the time. I won’t always want these on in the evenings, so I like having the remote. I will say that it is a little confusing to use the remotes with 2 lights so close together as sometimes one remote controls both and sometimes it only controls one depending on the exact angle from where you are. I think it would be easier if each remote was specifically programmed to only work with one light, or if the remote was powerful enough to consistently control multiple lights. The price is ok, if they will last a long time. I have solar lights in my yard that have been working for 10+ years with occasional new batteries. I’ve had other solar lights that stop working in a year or less. I feel like these need to last 3-5 years to be worth the money. I’ll update my review if they don’t. I also spray painted them copper just for fun. Overall, at this point I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend them.

Living in Southern California we have plenty of sunlight so this was the logical choice when looking for something to provide a little evening light on my back patio. Originally ordered one unit and absolutely loved it! It automatically turns on at dusk and lasts until dawn, the remote with built in timer and dimmer is awesome and facilitates My laziness!Ok to the customer service. I liked the product so much that I ordered another one for a different outdoor area but after a couple days the original product failed to turn on. Reading other reviews it was apparent that this was just a one off situation so I reached out to the seller. The seller responded within a few hours and walked me through a few troubleshooting steps, after we determined it was faulty they immediately sent a replacement. Absolutely fantastic, I have had so many negative experiences with vendors in the past and it was very refreshing to have such a good experience with this product. With everything going on in the world I am making many improvements to my home and plan on using this vendor for everything possible! Strongly recommend!

This light was a big disappointment!First of all, the photos are totally misleading when it comes to size. This light is TINY. See my picture to see how small it really is.Second, the design is horrible. The biggest issue is that it does not work when the solar panel is in the light. I bought this for my shed, and I can only use it when it is pitch black out. Ideally, I would like to use this whenever I am in the shed (it is dark inside when the doors are closed), but it doesn't work except at night. Another horrible design feature is that the cord is hardwired to the light so that you need to drill a huge hole in the wall to get the giant connector through (to connect outside solar panel with inside light). Completely unnecessary. Finally, there is no easy way to hang the light, which again, would not have been hard to design in.Third, it is far less bright than advertised. See the picture. Even in pitch black darkness, it is horribly dim even at the brightest setting.I am not returning it because it took me over an hour to get it set up, but I am sending a complaint to Amazon about false advertising and recommend that others avoid this misleading light.
