I have found when I use mainstream women’s hygiene products I’d often feel very uncomfortable and itchy by the end of my period. These however give me peace of mind, I don’t feel as aggravated when I wear them, as they are cotton. They are very simple, minimal Ingredients. They are more expensive, quite a bit more than mainstream which unfortunately is a drawback. Most young girls wouldn’t be able to afford these unless they have affluent parents or parents who know their stuff about the negative impact that mainstream products have on women’s health. Which limits their accessibility.

These pads are great for postpartum care as well as regular menstral cycles. I'm fairly sensitive to chemicals, especially after healing from 2nd degree tearing, so I had to switch to something more natural and chemical free. These didn't bother me at all, and I liked the wings, which prevented anything from leaking onto my clothing. I'd suggest using these for medium to light bleeding; heavy bleeding would warrant frequent changings. This brand does manufactor longer/thicker pads for new postpartum or overnight bleeding.

Not overly thick, very comfortable to be in. They absorb a lot and the wings have a great amount of tape(? Glue?) on them to keep them from sliding around even during high amounts of activity.

First time trying out organic pads and I LOVE these! Very very gentle on sensitive skin -- does not irritate at all and does not get smelly (!!). But they are initially folded in a weird way so they don't rip open as easy as the non-organic kind (e.g. Always). Also, these don't hold up as much liquid as the non-organic ones so I find I need to change there more frequently to avoid leakage.

I HAD to get a review in on this product (and others like it - 7th Generation, Organix, etc) because they are amazing! The regular products in the store have chemicals in them, and those can react poorly with our bodies. Some experience symptoms and some don't - just like with anything - we all react differently. For me, I reacted very poorly. During that time of the month, I had a lot of pain to where, at times, it was debilitating. I also experienced a heavy flow and it lasted the full 5 to 7 days. I was miserable the entire time and could hardly function. Pain relievers barely helped. One thing that did help A LOT was switching from store products to all natural products like Natracare, Organix, and 7th Generation. It's more expensive, but worth every penny. For me, I did need some medication to help with the pain, but switching to these helped some, too. Along with that, my flow was light to, maybe, medium, and slowly dropped down to where it's now only 3-4 days. It's a HUGE difference, but keep in mind that you have to be consistent and stick with it. It takes time to see a difference.
