Best of All Tried
I live on 3 acres & have only limited in grown sprinkler system so use several hoses w/ oscillating sprinklers. Over the years have used many timing devices but this is my very favorite. It is the only one. While set by the clock yet also allows, as needed, additional manual water flow activation. Have tried SEVERAL others & this one is easiest to both set up an automatic watering schedule ( eg time of day, length watering, interval choice such as every 12 hours, daily, every other day etc) The best feature is the ease with which I can get extra hose water flowing w/ an additional seamless manual setting. Wry sturdy, adaptable, & care free.Awesome and thank you for a product that does all it promises!

Great product for the money.
I’ve been using this for a little over a month and it’s been working perfectly. It’s probably the most straightforward interface I’ve seen. I don’t believe it has a place to hook up a rain sensor to automatically keep it off if it’s rained. That would be the only other feature I wish this one had. Even without it I think you get an easy to use, (hopefully) durable product. I’ll update if it breaks down anytime soon.Update Oct 22, 2022 - After 2 full years of use it’s still working perfectly. I changed the battery this spring and that’s all the maintenance it’s required. I do have it covered by a plastic bin to protect it from direct sunlight and the elements. I’m very pleased.

Does what it was made to do
It's pretty simple to set up, no complaints, and the scheduling worked as needed for me as I needed a temporary way to water a lawn renovation where I did not have any irrigation set up. I actually got 2 of these so I could set up 2 zones to alternate between as the sprinklers I got underperformed when all in the same "hose zone" (I have good water pressure but the sprinklers didn't use them well). The only thing I wish it did was offer a limited range on timing - meaning, I could set it for every 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, etc. but could not tell it to not run at night. Anyone watering a new lawn knows that watering at night will risk fungus, what would have been great is to tell it to water every 4 hours except between certain times of day. Other than that, it operated as expected.

Ease of programming
I got this for my wife who loves vegetable gardening. I couldnt tell what time the Raindrip system timer would start because of the lack of a actual clock. This timer has a clock which was what i was looking for. I Installed the 2 AA batteries, programmed it,hooked it to the faucet and it worked flawlessly! The LCD screen turns off to save the batteries but if you are curious if it's on or not, just tap the +/_ buttons or any button and you'll see the water drops flash on/off under the small faucet icon. Will have too see how long the batteries last but overall a good unit. I recommend this timer.

Broke after 2 months
The timer worked great until it didnt. We went away for a week vacation after using it for 2 months, and when we came back, we realized that the timer was not closing and opening the hose for the 10 minutes a day we programmed it to water our garden, but instead just ran water All The Time. So for 9 days, our hose was constantly running. Our vegetable plants were full of mildew and I don't even know how expensive our water bill will be. I tried reprogramming it many times but it didnt work.I'm sure their our brands that our more reliable. This didnt even last one season.

Best quality yet of all others owned
I have lots of hanging flower baskets and potted plants on my large deck...if I travel or miss watering on hot days, they die or get stressed in a matter of a day. I have Toro irrigation tubing and different water tips that are connected to automatic water flow timers. The units I have bought before are good fir one or two seasons before they fail, usually an internal leakage issue... I take them apart and lean of the build quality... I have to say my new timer I am writing now about has superior build quality compared to others that where purchased at Lowes and Home Depot. The new unit is twice the weight, has the easiest user interface and design is so much better... I have confidence that this will last longer and it was about the same price then the store bought units.

Handy timer that leaks into its circuitry
Changing from a 5 star review to a three star due to build quality. Have this in operation for about six weeks, running twice a day for 30 minutes. It’s in a remote part of my yard and I went out to adjust it and found the display was full of water. Whether the water came in from the hose feed or from rain doesn’t really matter since this will soon corrode and be useless.Update: Amazon is replacing it.This is a very handy timer for running sprinkler. Easy tie program and works well.

3 years still works perfect
I've had this timer watering my chickens for 3years!! It still works just like the first day I hooked it up! It survived a hard freeze that burst the hose hooked up to it and soaked it for hours.I have mine set to water twice a day for 8 sec. Cheap Batteries last about 3 to 4 months.I will say, setting the watering times was not as easy as some other timers i've used but this also offers a lot more customization!
